During our story times we like to capitalize on any ACTION words that we find. We'll either invite the children to mimic the actions with their arms and hands while remaining seated OR we'll have them stand up to do them. Morris will soon become a proud dad. In order to get ready he wanted to see how the other animal dads made their babies happy. First he tried hopping like a bunny, but that didn't work. Then he tried flapping make believe wings like the chicks and that didn't work. Then he tried splashing like the ducks and that didn't work either. What is the secret to making babies happy? Will Morris ever learn the secret? Is there a secret to making babies happy? You'll have to read this funny story to see.

Super charming! I loved the illustrations and the story. Great read for the arrival of new members to the family.

Colorful illustrations and a story with movement, good word choice and some repeition. This book will come in handy for next year's SRP theme "Dig Into Reading."

Saw this as a suggestion for an Underground Animals theme. I checked it out. Whoa on the Cheese! Not quite what I was looking for.
Acrylic - Cute Illustrations
