I didn't realize how deep this book was until I was very far into it. It seemed to be just a 'bit of fluff' for quite a while. It stopped being trite when Gerald's curiosity took over and he began his search. He wasn't exactly sure what he was searching for, but there was no stopping him from searching - for answers, for reasons, for others like himself. He was willing to give up a sure thing.
