Hmmm interesting story, which is full of creative ideas and potential, but I found it too flighty.
It is a YA Paranormal book, but I would recommend the readers be 16 yrs and older. YA books have a tendency to be very popular with younger teens hence the mention. Why? Because I think it is a little more racy than it should be, actually bordering on semi naughty.Bearing in mind one character is 16 and the other only just 17.

BlookGirl's Blurb: A unique, page-turning, coming-of-age story for all ages!
Whisper Walker had me hooked from the start. In the opening pages, we meet one of the two main characters, Drake Adair, after he falls into a pit and discovers himself surrounded by bones - human bones! Thus, I was thrown into this post-apocalyptic world where humans are only safe within fenced, guarded compounds and mutants, both human and animal, await to devour them outside the gates.

At first I didn't know what to expect of "Whisper Walker". The cover didn't say much and I just jumped blind into it.
And now, after reading it, I still find it difficult to tag it in a specific category or genre. It has mystery and dystopian elements but also paranormal components and a little bit of romance. Therefore it is a perfect combo for me XD
I have to acknowledge mr. Cole's ability to make them fit perfectly. He did a...more

In a post-apocalyptic world, Kelsie and Drake are forced to unite at a very young age and depend on each other for survival. As the years pass, they are presented with an ever growing list of challenges. This story is so much more than a fantasy adventure, as it explores what it means to discover first love, and confront the terrifying history of your own family.
The story gathers speed as it goes along, and I found my finger clicking the "next page" button of its own volition. There is something...more

I finished this book up this morning, and I am pleasantly suprised at how much I liked it. It's no secret that I'm not a huge fan of fantasty (fae, vampires, werewolves, etc) and this book does have some fantasy elements in it, but the way it was tied into the dystopian world just worked for me.
I actually kind of like the cover. It may be a little to spacey for my taste, but I think it works. Also, I didn't imagine Drake to look like that. Oh well :)

I'll be honest, I really had no idea what to expect with Whisper Walker but I ended up really enjoying it. It was a quick read (only 122 pages) but there was enough action and suspense to keep me satisfied until the very end.
Drake is a Hunter, and one of the best in his field. At 17, he is the guy to go to when you need something. A few years earlier, he took Kelsie in who ran away from her father and the two have been living together ever since. What started out as a childhood friendship is tur...more

Whisper Walker is the first book in the Whisper Walker Series. I did not overly care for this novel. I found it disappointing because YA dystopian fiction is my favourite genre at the moment. But, I just couldn't get into the story or connect with these characters.
The story sounds interesting in the synopsis and has a lot of potential to make an interesting read. However, I felt that it fell short. There is definitely a lot of action and adventure, but it failed to capture my interest. I al...more

London made me break a BIG rule. As you know I don't review self-published books. I was a little nervous when I found out it was self published. The thing was... London had been so nice to me on Twitter! I would have felt extremely bad if I had said no! So I gave in and decided to read his book!
The book switches back between Kelsie and Drake, which I love! Inthis case you discovered what Kelsie was thinking and what Drake was thinking. I feel this was key in the book as you needed to feel what...more

This wasn't really an author request, it was more of I asked to read the book and the author London Cole sent me over the book. I really enjoyed this young teenage love story. It is a dystopian story and the setting is taken place after World War III. The romance between the two main characters Drake and Kelsie is so beautiful and fresh. London didn't shy away from letting the two show their love and affection for eachother and I really enjoy that about his writin style. Also, the plot of the st...more
This novel is a dystopian novel set up in a world divided into hostile colonies fighting for resources, political power, and land. I really enjoyed this novel and the evolution of its characters and their relationships. The paranormal powers that develop in the main female and male lead are in rhythm of the world they live in. This novel was an easy read that kept me entertained until the end. I am looking forward to the rest of the series and am involved in the characters' survival.
