Look at that cover! Doesn't that make you want to read it? A NIGHT OF SOUTHERN COMFORT blends romance, mystery and a one night stand that turns into something else. Hmm who wouldn't love this book? I certainly did.

The characters were all flawed, but likeable. Even when they do make mistakes and choices, you understand why. All of them were very realistic and believable, which I love. Jackson was super hot! And he's a detective! What more do yo More...

Actually, I give this a 4.5 rating (and the sex scenes at least a 6 because you can feel the heat, smell the sweat but their inclusion is neither contrived nor gratuitous.)

Jack and Michaela are sufficiently believable that if you reached out to touch them their skin would depress beneath your fingertips.

The romance is hot and engaging throughout and the only reason I withheld a .5 so as not to award a full five star rating is because the ending as far as plot is concerned was a little light for More...

I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down! Robin Covington certainly knows how to create scorching chemistry between Michaela and Jackson from the very steamy beginning. This is a great read that isn't quite a contemporary romance and isn't quite a suspense. The heroine Michaela Roarke is a doctor in a small town but when she first meets Jackson Cantrell she's celebrating her liberation from her controlling politburo father. Kayla and Jack sizzle from the first moment as strangers having a one night stand.
