3.5-4 stars . . .so i rounded up!
i most enjoyed this and look forward to the next installment
what i liked . . .
first in a new series . . .lots of world building and character building. it worked. i bought into the entire post-apocalyptic setting.
i bought into the whole gritty and dark survival mode for each of the characters and their 'family'. i was saddened by the harsh reality of the world the author created.
the development of the m-m-f relationship worked for me :) not just from the erotic...more

Too short!
I really enjoyed the world-building here and seeing the life the survivors created after the virus wiped most of the world. Sadly, I've noticed in quite a lot of MMF stories that the MM aren't really interested in each other sexually and revolve around the F part. I don't like that so when I read a story that has the MM as engaged into each other as they are with the F I'm a very happy reader. We definitely have this interest here, Ross and Dorian want each other as much as they want a...more

After the Crux is the 1st book in a new series that is set 17 years after a fatal disease wiped through the population leaving survivors to fend for themselves in this desolate world. Cities and civilizations are dissertated and the surviving individuals form families and they must raid forgotten towns to find food and other previsions that they need to keep on surviving.
This story primarily revolves Ross, who is pretty much the leader of his “family”. His family first began when he was 14 year...more

This is my first Dani Worth read and I will be going back for more of the Crux Survivors.
After the Crux is set seventeen years after a deadly virus swept through America leaving survivors to eek out an existence while being confronted by deadly raiders, lack of provisions and electricity.
This is a novella that I wish was a full length book. The world is intriguing and the brevity of this book left me with more questions than answers. The characters are well fleshed out and the relationships rea...more

Dani Worth is not only one of my favorite authors, she's also one of the few writers of menage stories that I truly enjoy. I've sang the praises of her Kithran Regenesis series, which is sci fi erotica. This new series takes place in a post apocalyptic world where much of the population has been wiped out by disease. The survivors have formed communities in order to be safe, gathering those together who want the same thing. Ross, Dorian and Jenna have been together since they were kids. Ross wat...more
I’m not really big on dystopias, but when I read them, I need to know why the world is in its current state. We know that there’s a virus, but we don’t know what caused it or how it spread. Was is a gradual thing? Biochemical warfare? Result of toxins in the water supply? These are things I needed to know!
All these supply-runs, no one thought to pick/look for up a CB radio or walkie-talkies? Could be helpful when they go on runs or search the waves for survivors. Analog always works in dystopias...more

This one was just okay for me. I liked the world Ms. Worth created but would like to know more. Maybe if the book had been longer we could have learned more about the characters too; part of my problem is that I kept getting the characters confused - there were a lot. Also, a few little things bugged me - like they had a gym: in a post-apocolyptic world, where food is scarce and you're fighting to survive, you work out? The end was abrupt. Not a cliffhanger per se, almost as if she wrote a longe...more
Post Apocalyptic Novella with an erotic menage relationship. Loved it...What a great start to a new series!

For a novella and the first in the series, Dani Worth balances the world building, character development and romance perfectly - throwing a little action and humour in along the way, it is not pretty, it's dangerous and they are constantly on a knifes edge, their lives and home could so easily be destroyed by one small mistake or bad decision. I liked how they all had a place within the fa...more

Yes, this was short, (my kindle version ended at 87% and I just about had a conniption!), but it was such a fascinating start to a sexy, new dystopian-esque series.
The main story revolves around Ross, who is the unproclaimed leader to a very interesting group of survivors, and the evolving love he is secretly holding for Jenna and Dorian. He has assembled this group into his "family" over the years and they now reside together, adapting as best they can, in an underground home in the mountains o...more

In a Nutshell: Awesome sexy MMF romance with a well-constructed post-apocalyptic world. I hate the author a little for making me wait an undefined time for subsequent stories in this world.

Yet another great story from Ms Worth. The emotional tension between the characters, the high stakes outside of their relationships, how they made it all work. Also the growing attachments between the other survivors and something left unresolved that I can't wait to find out about in the next book. Once I started reading I couldn't stop.
You cannot be wrong with this author, Dani Worth.
This is book 1 of a new post-apocalyptic series starting with a MMF but will have MF (coming book2 is announced MF).

I really really really liked this story! I wish it was longer and I can't wait to read more. I want to know how the trip to find Cadmars family went. I want to know what happened with Georgia, Lynn, and Jake. Maybe we will find out what caused the Crux, maybe we won't. I just like how Ms Worth is building tis new world bit by bit.
Great post-apocalypse menage. Keeps up the pace. It's a very quick read

3.5 - for ending abruptly. Good post-apocalyptic mmf menage story and series starter. Plan to read more of this series.

I currently have two sexy novella series with Samhain Publishing! The Kithran Regenesis is erotic space opera, mostly menage. Crux Survivors is erotic post-apocalyptic, some menage and some not. I love to explore the boundaries of new worlds, love, desire or anything else that strikes my fancy. Good stories make life fun. Some of my stories will have pairs and some will have three–Love is Love. :)...more
