Ever read one of those books where you know you're not really interested in reading but you can't but it down? This is what this book was like for me. The whole time I was reading it, I kept thinking to myself, "Is this storyline going to pick up? Where's that extra kick I'm used to getting from my authors?" This book had no kick but I couldn't put it down. I wouldn't even say it was a smooth read. It was more of something to do to pass the time away. Yet and still, I couldn't put the book down....more

ไม่แนะนำอย่างยิ่งให้เริ่มอ่านงานเขียนของอเล็กซานดรา ไอวีที่เล่มนี้นะคะ เพราะมันได้สะท้อนการเขียนที่ดีที่สุดของเธอเอาเสียเลย ซึ่งเช่นเดียวกับเล่มแรกในชุด (My Lord Vampire) เรามีปัญหาในการทำให้ตัวเองตื่นมากพอที่จะอ่านเล่มนี้ให้จบ ทุกอย่างในเล่มช่างน่าเบื่อ ไม่น่าสนใจเอาเสียเลย

Very good. I really liked it. More of a historical paranormal romance about vampires. Light in the "hot" department but overall, a really good read.

Enjoyable paranormal romance with vampires, Jack the Ripper-like murderer terrorising Regency London, heroine with sociallly conscious mind and silly but gorgeous cover - those colours!
Cute, but not great. Not a complete waste of time.
Twilight, Vampire Academy and Black Dagger Brotherhood are better.

This was ok, but I much prefer the Guardians of Eternity series!

Wow, I just couldn't put this down I loved it.
This was better than the first one, but the ending was still a little rushed for my tastes; though, at least it was better explained than the ending of the first book in the series.
