The second book in Lisa Renee Jones' Tall, Dark & Deadly series. Julie Harrison, best friend of Lauren from Hot Secrets, book 1 in this series, is a divorce lawyer who finds herself in danger when the wife of one of her clients commits suicide. Luke Walker is a man that Julie knew in the past and still has feelings. Luke is an ex-Navy SEAL that got out to join his brothers at Walker Securities. He, too, has never gotten over her.

I liked this better than the previous books in the series but i

This book took me a little long to get through and I can only guess it’s because I couldn’t connect to the characters. The thing is I really liked the first book in this series and in ‘Hot Secrets’ I liked Julie’s character and I was curious about Luke.

I felt like Julie was way too confused and all over the place. I like Luke well enough, but he felt a little flat for me, there wasn’t a lot of depth to this super sexy, super strong SEAL, I wanted more out of him.

The formatting was an issue on t

I like this author, recently read If I Were You and rather than waiting for the second book in the series to be released I went in search of more from Jones. It was a quick and easy read, but it didn't have the character development that If I Were You had. Also there are several editing mistakes and at parts the story seemed choppy and rushed, especially at the end. And some of the secondary characters didn't provide enough substance to the story to be worthwhile (Gina, the strange guy that popp ...more

Luke and Julie have a past one month of hot sex about 2 years ago and now Lauren Julies's best friend is marrying Luke's brother Royce. They both get stranded in Chicago days before the wedding by a snow storm.

This starts off a thrill ride of suspense who killed the Judge's wife? Why are they after Julie? What's in the journal? Who is Dragonfly? (I guessed correctly). The romance between Luke and Julie is hot, Luke is sweet but can be bossy in the bedroom. The Walker brothers work together to s

Hated the heroine..

So, some guy scares the heck out of Julie and Luke comes to her rescue and she feels better. Then they decide to go to the airport together early in the morning and she leaves ahead of time and just leaves him? WTH? What he should have done when he found her was to finish making arrangements for their flight then turn around and leave her a$$. When an author writes a heroine like that it just makes me angry, to try to make us think she tough and independent and scared of commi

I like how the female lead didn't blab everything to her best friend about her relationship with the male lead. The ending seemed rushed, but it was nice.

The story starts off with the couple agreeing to a month as fuck buddies before he has to leave to go back into the service as a SEAL. They meet again right before his brother's and her best friend's wedding. He uses his contacts to make sure his hotel room is right next to hers and they are seated next to each other on the plane. She is unhapp

In this second installment from the Tall, Dark and Deadly Series you meet Julie Harrison a lawyer who for the last several years has been taking care of divorces for the rich and famous. It may have not been what she had set out to do on a daily basis, but she is good at it and the firm she works for is making quite a bit of money off the cases that Julie has brought to the firm catering to this clientele.
Julie's latest client is a predominant judge in the area. Little does she know that her lif

Ok I got about 60% in and decided to DNF it. There is definitely a formula here. Insta-love. Damsel in distress protected by alpha male. I get it. I don’t do the conflicted damsel thing though.

I simply love this series and each book gets better and better.

Not only do you have a gorgeous new book boyfriend in each instalment but the stories are complex and full of twists and turns to keep readers on the edge of their seats.

Compared to other books I've read recently, you really get to feel the emotions between the main characters and its easy to get swept along with the storyline.

This book tells Julie's story with Luke Walker, ex Navy SEAL. Julie is a divorce attorney whose latest case

Though I have found errors throughout this series, I fell in love with the characters and the plot. Some people may say that it is a guessable plot and that there's not a lot to it, but I thoroughly enjoyed each of the 3 books I have read that tie back to each other. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone who liked 50 Shades of Grey! :)

This was a strong 3.5 star read. Had a bit of suspense, attractive alpha male, strong independent female. Just was a short novel and only scratched the surface in a lot of places. Well written and good steamy scenes, liked possessiveness of male, but lukewarm in end.

The Walker brothers are sexy, gorgeous and deadly. Julie is on her way to her best friends wedding to one of these sexy men when she runs into the brother who broke her heart. What she doesn't realize is that she touch his too but he had no choice when he left the first time and he doesn't intend on letting her go this time around.

Julie finds herself tangled within a stolen art ring that is funded by a Canadian cartel. Luke is not going to let anything happen to her but battling her nerves and

"Dangerous Secrets" is another great edition in the Tell, Dark & Deadly series. This is Julie and Luke's story. Julie is the best friend of Lauren who is about to marry one of the Walker brothers. Julie is a divorce attorney and is in the middle of a nasty divorce case between a judge and his wife. Julie and Like Walker had a brief affairs years ago when Luke was on leave from the Navy SEALS. Now that he is out of the SEALS he and Julie have been avoiding each other.

This is the 2nd book in the Tall, Dark and Deadly series but Lisa Renee Jones. The series is about the three Walker brothers and the women they love. Book one was Royce and Lauren's book and book two is Luke and Julie which will leave Blake for book three. In book one you get a intro into all the brothers. They are all tall, capable and sexy as hell. They have the kind of relationship you wish you could have with your siblings. Family loyalty to each other. In this book Luke had a relationship o ...more

Second in the "Tall, Dark, & Deadly" series. Yes, I profess I am a bad girl for reading this out of order. HOWEVER, the lack did not hinder the reading of Dangerous Secrets.

FYI - The series is aptly named. The Walker brothers are definitely "tall, dark and deadly."

Reunion book - which normally I do not like. There are a few that sneak up on me. Jones gave glimpses through either Luke or Julie on their past little fling.

Nice role reversal. Instead of the woman knowing she "loves" the man

I have been hearing such great things about this author and I was not disappointed in the least! Within the first few paragraphs of being introduced to the main characters, Julie and Luke, I could feel the tension between them. I fell in love with Luke almost immediately and who wouldn't? Hot ex-SEAL who still has that super-protective instinct and who never got over Julie after their previous short-lived affair? Plus, in true romance novel fashion, his brothers are all super sexy too (and they ...more

Readers knew that Julie and Luke had a history when they were introduced in Hot Secrets. The first book in the Tall, Dark and Deadly series gave us just a glimpse of what was to come in Dangerous Secrets. Regardless, I wasn’t prepared for how much I would enjoy them as a couple.

Julie didn’t want a relationship. Her job as a divorce lawyer and her family history had convinced her that relationships just weren’t meant to work. She was determined to keep Luke at arms length. Luke knew Julie had rel

Dangerous Secrets is the second in The Walker Brothers Trilogy. I am really enjoying this series. The passion (and tension) between Julie and Luke is high. We get glimpses of the past when they were seeing each other before. Julie’s past prevents her from wanting to get too close to anyone but Luke won’t let that happen again. There were great sex scenes and lots of suspense. I had an idea who might be the bad guy but I never knew until the very end. Ms. Jones is gre

Dangerous Secrets: Walker Brothers #2 (Tall, Dark, and Deadly)

By Lisa Renee Jones

Ms. Jones has reassembled the cast of characters from the first Walker Brothers book, Hot Secrets, and woven anther story worthy of the tag HOT EROTICA.

Julie Harrison is an attorney that ended up specializing in divorces, she took one high profile athlete and the rest followed. It wasn’t what she had really gotten into law for, but it validated her views on life, love and marriages. Now she has taken on a Judge’s ca

I loved this story! Dangerous Secrets is full of passion and adventure with some mystery thrown in. This is the second book in the Tall, Dark, and Deadly series. I have not read the first book and didn't feel I had to, and there are no spoilers from the first book. This story kept my attention the whole time I was reading it, I did not want to put this book down and I will be reading the first story.

Luke Walker has come home after retiring from the military service as a Navy SEAL. He and his tw

The author does not disappoint as this is action packed and hot as the two previous ones in the series. I find it ironic that the pace is exactly the same as well. Exciting, intense and development of the characters persona and their romance but once you get to the last few pages you are on warp speed. Funny comparison but it's like watching a car race, the back and forth exciting and not sure who will win or what will happen for the one driver to hit the nitrous oxide button catapulting them to ...more

3.5 Stars This is book #2 in the Tall, Dark and Deadly series. Good book that I did enjoy however I just didn't connect to these characters as much as I would have liked to.
Luke Walker and Julie Harrison had hooked up several years ago, when Luke was still a Navy Seal. Because he was a Seal, and was just home on leave, Julie didn't fear any emotional attachment so she enjoyed their time together but knew it was only temporary. However, over the years neither one forgot the other and their mutua

OMG! I recently read Ms. Jones' Secrets Exposed book which was a prelude to these books so when I realized they were sexy, hot stories that involved brothers, I went searching through Amazon. Turns out I had already downloaded several of her books so I got to reading!

A 5 Star Review!
I was so excited after reading the first book in this series to get my hands on Luke's story. It so did not disappoint this was an awesome book! Luke is a alpha male for sure and there's nothing to dislike about him. Now at first i wasn't to sure about Julie. She took a bit to win me over but once she did it was great. The suspense in this book is awesome and it keeps you on a roller coaster the whole way through. All in all a great second book now onto the third

I enjoyed this book! It was a continuation of book one! They are standalone a but characters are in each one...

We get more hot steamy scenes! Luke was the ex-Seal with a big heart much like his ex-FBI big brother!

I enjoy her writing, she gives you a simple but interesting plot. There are some twists with mild angst. Nothing to complicated, if your looking for a easy sexy read!

Baby brother Blake will be read about next

I did enjoy this book. I did not rate it as high as her first book in the series because, the last 3 sences of the book were very rushed and seemed unfinshied. I do hope that you get a little more of the story in the 3rd book. I did like the charter development you learned a lot about Luke. I do wish she explained a little bit more about how Julie became the person she was you get a little hint but nothing indepth.
