"Look Look Outside" by Peter Linenthal is a board book that infants and toddlers will love to both look at and read (the toddlers, not the infants) over and over. The drawings are works of art -- in the style of op art -- that are simple yet cleverly designed.
The book is done in black, white and green. The style is simple. Except for the front cover, the print is green and the drawings are black and white. But what great drawings they are.

This picture book features bold, black and white illustrations, and a one word per page pattern. It featuers common things that might be seen outside, like birds, cars, et cetera. The pattern is a bit dull for an older reader, but my infant son seemed to enjoy it, and the word to text matches seem like they'd support early emergent readers. The bold illustrations seem suited to very young infants.
ages birth-2. A great simple high contrast book with large letters that can help babies expand their print awareness. The items pictured can help children build their vocabularies.
