Although some people may think the initial list is old-fashioned, I think all but a couple are about basic respect and courtesy. Who wouldn't want a door held for them if they're struggling with groceries, to hear "please" and "thank you", or to see family members treating each other with politeness?

The first section is a list of the 104 things, but later you have short suggestions pulled from 300 families as to how to teach these manners, and then a short section on top "family rules posted on...more

I thought this good contained many "important must teachers" that I felt are standard and should be taught to all not just boys. The book continued to say boys need to be boys but I don't understand why there needs to be a time to fart loudly when others aren't around. We play like we practice and if we allow 'boy tome" than we are only encouraging that manners are only for show and not life lessons. While the book mentioned many things that I truly agree with I did not feel any new aha moments....more

I got this for my daughter and son-in-law to encourage them to teach good behavior to my grandson but then decided it wouldn't hurt for me to read it also. We're all teachers from time to time.
