I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: The Legacies is an omnibus containing the 3 novellas in the series so far (Six's Legacy, Nine's Legacy and The Fallen Legacies). I really was excited when they released this omnibus because I didn't want to shell out $3.99 for each novella. The Legacies is an excellent companion to the Lorien Legacies because it helped me understand Number Six, Number Nine and Mogadorians better.

For those of you who haven't read I Am Number Fo...more

Book Review
The book I am Number Four:The Legacies:The Lost Files by Pittacus Lore describes the adventures of three different teenagers from a different planet and their struggles to survive. Both number four and number nine have their stories told after their planet Lorien was destroyed by another alien race called the Mogadorians. Number four, who is also known as Kelly, and her care taker Katarina continuously battle against the Mogadorians in order to...more

Four month ago when I read this, I felt strongly about writing some deeply insightful literary criticism about the series and about Pitticus Lore’s writing style. Now of course, I don’t remember any of that. I will say that if you are a fan of the series, I definitely recommend reading this. Six’s story isn’t particular exciting as it is mostly covered in the other books. Nine’s story and the fallen legacies help fill out and supplement the overall plot. I haven’t read the other companion pieces...more

Pittacus Lore first introduced the world to the Lorien legacies in I AM NUMBER FOUR, and the battle to save the world began. Number four and number six decided to work together and fight back against the evil Mogadorian’s, the alien race who threaten to take over the earth. Now, as the remaining Loriens attempt to find each other and provide a united front, the pieces to their mysterious existence and presence on earth are slowly falling into place. A few questions remain, however, and THE LOST...more

I honestly did not know what to expect when I bought I Am Number Four: The Lost Files by Pittacus Lore. Six and Nine's background stories but I think the addition of The Fallen Legacies was a game changer. Anyway, the book focuses more on Six and Nine plus Adamus/ Adam a Mog with a heart.

Okay, so let's start with Six's story. I love the fact that she was actually one of the characters given her own novella. I like the fact that they gave her a back story that coul...more

Amazing. Completely amazing. The Legacies are split into three stories. All three can be bought on any e-reader, but due to complaints from I Am Number Four fans about not having e-readers, this limited edition book was released containing Six's Legacy, Nine's Legacy, and The Fallen Legacies.

Six's Legacy review
-An inside look on Number Six's backstory before she met Four. Beginning with Six and her still alive Cepan, Katarina, shows how Six was a bit more easygoing then how she presently is. Th...more

This one in The Lost Files, I really liked. The book comprises three of the separate "Lost Files" stories that came out earlier, so you save money buying this one instead of each one separately.
The stories it includes are: Six's Legacy, Nine's Legacy and The Fallen Legacies.
The writing quality is better than in "The Last Days of Lorien". Besides, I liked how the authors let us look at the more vulnerable aspects of Six and Nine as, in the series, both appear behind a bravado they've built to pro...more

I can't describe how I'm feeling right now. It's a mixture of gratefulness for being able to read this book; quiet contentment in finally understanding the characters; learned helplessness for the inevitable doom of Numbers One, Two and Three; and deep sadness for the many other deaths that had occurred. The story was beautifully written but I can't help but feel dejected by the events that had happened to the Garde.

I've always wondered about the characters' back stories, especially the fallen G...more

In Six's story we get to see a younger Six that is much more vulnerable and not as tough as the Six we have come to know. We see her life with her Cepan Katarina. We see how they were captured and how Katarina died. Reading her story made me understand why she is the way she is after all she went through.

In Nine's story we also see a younger version of him and his Cepan Sandor. Nine trains non-stop and lives in the house we saw in The Rise of Nine. We see how his capture and Sandor's capture/dea...more

Summary of the Story

This prequel of sorts is split into three sections. The first tells Six's history, the second tells Nine's, and the third - surprisingly - is the story of a young Mogadorian.

(view spoiler)[Basically, Six's story only lasts less than a hundred pages, because there isn't much to tell other than what we already know, which is that her and Katarina liked to move around a lot. Six and Katarina are caught by the Mogs, where Katarina is tortured until they decide to kill her. Six di...more

Summary: This book is a companion novel to the series I am Number Four. It combines three stories in one, Six's legacy, Nine's Legacy, and the Fallen Legacies. Six's Legacy explains what her life was like before she met John (Number Four). Nine's Legacy is about Nine's life before he met John. The Fallen Legacies is about a Mogadorian boy named Adamus (A.K.A. Adam) who witnessed the killing of Number One and found that what his people were doing was wrong, and started to rebel against the Mogado...more

I thought this book was amazing, it gave us a back story into characters that you wouldn't think you would get and it shows the author is willing to go to such extremes to show his character development

Six is a boss, but her story seemed to boring for me, i felt so bad for her but it wasn't as actioned packed as Nines!, i can see why she is a warrior princess and it was a different story that Fours (lived peacefully moving a lot)

Now Nines legacy has to be the best ever! we see such a transition...more

Hadn't heard of this series until this volume -- which collects several shorter pieces originally published as e-books that kind of flesh out non-central aspects of the overall series -- was given to my kid this past December. I'm not in any hurry for him to read it, given some of the brutal violence in certain scenes, but I thought I'd give it a go myself. It is a very easy read, fairly fast-moving and exciting stories that carry you along, and you get to see enough of the premise -- evil alien...more

I didn't read the stories in order, I started with The Fallen Legacies first because I was really curious about how Numbers One, Two and Three were discovered and annihilated. Imagine my surprise when I found out the entire story was told in a Mogadorian's point of view! I was expecting a recap of the Garde members' final moments but was instead introduced to a Mogadorian who, despite being the son of a very powerful and controlling General, had lost sense of his purpose and had begun to sympath...more

This book is split up into three short stories set in the I am Number Four world.

The three stories are: Six's Legacy, Nine's Legacy and The Fallen Legacies . I am reading them out of order so I will post a short review for each as soon as I finish the story.

The Fallen Legacies

This story is told from the POV of a young Mogadorian called Adamus (Adam). His father is the General of the Mogadorian army and he is expected to grow up and become a fearsome warrior and take down the Lorian Nine.

A fantastic read. The Legacies is split into 3 different stories- Six's Legacy, Nine's Legacy and The Fallen Legacies.

I enjoyed how action-packed Six's Legacy was. Also, I loved learning more of Six's backstory. In Six's Legacy, we get a short glimpse of her struggle before eventually finding Four. We also get to see more of her relationship with her Cepan, Katarina, before she died. I love how I also got to see a different side of her character. She was still the strong-willed Garde that was in...more

Pittacus Lore's "I Am Number Four" series of books across the past few years has introduced us to the 9 (10) individuals from Lorien who have come to Earth & are fighting the Mogdorians to prevent them from conquering Earth. They are each identified simply in order by number & can only be killed in that fashion. In Lore's "The Legacies", he tells the tales of how Six & Nine got their powers & how they came into being once they learned them & also in the Fallen Legacies tells...more

This book was FANTABULASOME!!!!!!!! Fantastic, fabulous, and awesome put together. It was very, very interesting learning about the mysterious lives of the rest of the Garde I already didn't know. While, Six and Nine's stories were really good, my favorite was the fallen legacies. This was the best mini-story I have read because of how it's written: from a Mog's point of view. Before reading the last story, I used to think that all of the Mogadorians were cruel and didn't care about anybody's li...more

I love this series and after finishing book #3, I was still craving more, so I was happy to come across this companion book. It is a compilation of three short stories: Six's Legacy, Nine's Legacy and The Fallen Legacies. It begins with Six's, which was not very good. Most of the info of her journey prior to meeting Four was described in the books, so it was more of a recap than anything new. However, Nine's story and The Fallen totally made up for it. They were both very good, particularly The...more

1) SIX'S LEGACY

I adore this series. Six's Legacy provides an insight into Six's life before she met John. Though short, around 90 pages in paper format, this story made me love Six even more. It made me feel for her, and the events that take place within bring her to where she is introduced in the first book, I Am Number Four. Damn the Mogs...

2) NINE'S LEGACY

I have nothing to say except that Nine is awesome. His sad tale makes me love him more... have I told you I hate the Mogs? Cuz I do. They s...more

This book originally was only available as an ebook, but has now been put together in one volume. It includes the Lost Files, which consists of the back stories of Six and Nine; and it includes the Legacies, which is what happened to One, Two, and Three. Here, there is a bit of a twist, in which we see some of the story from a Mogadorian viewpoint. This provides an interesting vantage point, and I'm sure will figure in the developing story.
The book also includes the beginning chapters from each...more

[May contain spoilers if you haven't read the first two books in the series]

The book is divided into three short stories: Six's Legacy, Nine's Legacy and The Fallen Legacies. To be honest, of the three, I enjoyed the last one.

If you've read I Am Number Four and The Power of Six, then Six's and Nine's story shouldn't be much of a surprise to you.

Six's Legacy is about her life with Katarina before the Mogs caught them.
Nine's Legacy is like Six's story, about his life before he was captured.

WOW. Have I not shed enough tears? WAS THIS NECESSARY I MEAN

Calm. I am calm. Okay, let's do this.

Fistly, haven't the Garde lost enough? Just wow. I despise the Mogs. Not because they're evil and are the enemy or whatever. But because the war they are going to have, is absolutely pointless. What do they hope of accomplishing? Conquering Earth, turning it into a wasteland like they did Mogadore and then what?

Reading about Six and Nine, before the war truly began, hurt me. I love Six. She's my sp...more

I loved reading the backstories of Six and Nine. I got to see what their lives were like before they were introduced in the first two books. And the new, unique point-of-view of Adam, a Mog with a heart after basically having his brain meshed with One's. His point of view covers the stories of the first three Garde pretty well. I'd have liked to read individual backstories for each of them as well, but this was good, too. Especially with One's voice in his head. I would like to see more of him s...more

Most books that fall into this category fell forced. Like the author is just trying to pull out another book in their series to make more money. That is not the story (pun intended) with this book. It does exactly what a add on story is supposed to do, it adds to the series. The back round stories with six and nine are fun. I felt sad when it was over. The one I was really looking forward to was the Fallen Legacies. I really wanted to get to know 1-3. However that is not only what this story is...more

My sister brought me this book. At first, she was hesitant because she was unaware of the existence of this book. She thought this was the first book. Still, I'm very glad she agreed to buy it for me. This is a very nice book to have if you're a huge I am Number Four fan. Somehow, this book answers some of the questions we have about the death of One, Two and Three. Other than that, this book also tells us the story of Adamus, the son of the General of the Mogadorians. By experiencing the point...more

This book was a very good in between book for the series and had three different stories in it. The lost legacies was my favorite. I absolutely loved Adamus and hope we get to see him in more books. I also really like nine's legacy because now I can see how he became the way that he is now. I am starting to like more and more:). The only thing about this though is six's legacy was kind of expected and didn't have much action (even though she's bad ass). It wasn't very good in my opinion. Overall...more

Interesting. This book gives Six and Nine much more character depth. You see where they're coming from and why they are such hardened warriors and why they hate the Mogs so much.

"The Fallen Legacies" was surprising. I thought it would go on telling us about the legacies in each Garde's perspective. This one's a game-changer. I found it far-fetched at first but with some explanation, it ties in well ennough. I still have a lot of questions but then there's also a lot we don't know yet about the...more

3 different stories in one book which is this, The Lost Files. First of all, it covered how Number Six deveoped her Legacies, how her Cêpan died, and how she resolved to finding Number Four. After her story, Number Nine's story was told. How he was captured by the Mogs. And lastly, the stories of the 3 Garde who died in the hands of Mogadorians.

This book, even if it's not a sequel of IANF, is a page-turner. I'm telling you. Pittacus Lore did a great job of connecting the stories and being able t...more

I really enjoyed getting some background information on some of the characters we have been introduced to during the main storyline. I enjoyed meeting 6 and 9's cepan's. It was informative to get an idea of some of the challenges they have been through and what they had to endure to keep fighting the mogs. 9's story in particular was very intense.

The biggest surprise was the last story. Being able to see some of the story from the view point of a young mog was very unexpected. I like how they ti...more
