This book is called Debbie's Visit to the Countryside in English. Now that I am home, and my parents are getting ready to move, I'm looking through all my favorite childhood books. This was one. It wasn't till recently, though, that I realized the book was from Editions Casterman, and that it was originally in French. Go figure. Anita goes to Aunt Lucia's farm, to recover from being ill. The farm has beautiful programs for a child recovering from being ill in bed.. a nice neighbor, a friendly dog to accompany Pantufa, and an attic full of surprises make for a lovely book.
