This book is called Debbie's Visit to the Countryside in English. Now that I am home, and my parents are getting ready to move, I'm looking through all my favorite childhood books. This was one. It wasn't till recently, though, that I realized the book was from Editions Casterman, and that it was originally in French. Go figure. There's something about the hyper-idealized kiddie world of Marcel Marlier that still makes me sad I can't live in between the pages. I prefer Debbie's Birthday Party ...more
