Was it destiny that led me to complete this book on the day before the 2010 midterm elections? Okay, maybe not destiny, but it was fortuitous. I was so sick of flippant references to the "Great Depression" by certain currently serving politicians that I determined to refresh my knowledge by reading "The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression" by Amity Shlaes and this book, "Roosevelt: The Lion and the Fox."
