I don't know what it is about werewolves but they're hot. Hot blooded, hot headed, and just plain HAWT!
Meara knows they're hot, considering she is one, but she also knows that the males of the species are dominating and rather pushy. Still, she's ready to settle down and has even put a call out to available wolves--a kind of wolfy speed dating. So far, she's had no luck until this particular weekend, when she has several candidates coming to stay at her cabins. This dating is made even more diff...more

The last book I reviewed by Terry Spear was ‘Dreaming of the Wolf’, and before that was; ‘Heart of the Highland Wolf’ so I’ve gotten used to her writing style and I really like it. Truthfully, I love her Highland series the most I think, simply because of the romance of it, and the accents of course. LOVE the accents. But in this review I’m going to talk about ‘A Seal in Wolfs Clothing’ which I just finished.
We start out where we left off in ‘To Tempt the Wolf’ with Hunter’s twin sister Meara. S...more
I love Ms. Spear’s ability to develop and sustain characters, give them spirited dialog, and a plot to bring out everyone’s true personality. She has main characters, secondary characters, and many of them have been with us through several books. That doesn’t leave her unable to introduce exciting new characters, such as Bjornolf. I surely do hope his book is next because he’s sexy, overly self-confident, and such a mysterious tormenter!

I have loved Terry Spear's wolves. Her books have always been detailed and description when it comes to the wolf lore.
However it has gotten to the point that the stories are all so similar to each other that I am beginning to feel like I'm reading the same book over and over. Sure the characters are different but the basics stay the same. Perhaps I just need a break and a new world to read about it then I can come back to this one later feeling fresh with a renewed interest.

Now that Meara doesn’t have to deal with an overprotective brother she figures it shouldn’t be too hard for her to find a mate. I got the greatest chuckle out of the pickle this otherwise competent and macho hero gets himself into. Doesn’t matter that he’s a Navy SEAL and a werewolf – all of his prowess and stealth can’t prevent him from falling in love. A man like him needs a woman who will challenge, poke, prod and thwart all his best laid plans and intentions. There’s no better heroine than Meara Greymere to get the job done and I enjoyed every moment.

There's an assassin causing problems for the SEAL team and Finn decides to keep an eye on Meara while her brother, Hunter, is on his honeymoon. Before knowing about Finn's plans Meara has the idea to use the cabins she and Hunter own to run her own version of The Dating Game. Alpha wolf style.

“A SEAL in Wolf’s Clothing” by Terry Spear continues the saga of the Greymere werewolf pack which has relocated to Oregon after the life changing events that caused them to leave their long-term locale in California. Meara is temporarily alone but Finn Emerson suspects that she is about to become a target for an assassin out to kill her brother, Hunter, his SEAL comrade. Meara has never found the wolf that she has wanted to mate but some of that she blames on her overprotective brother so she pl...more

If you like shapeshifting, sexy alpha men, and witty, strong willed beautiful alpha females, then this book by Terry Spears is definitely for you! I LOVED this novel and I can't believe it's the FIRST Terry Spear novel I've ever read!!! I loved her plot line, I loved the complexity she incorporated into her hero and heroine, and I loved all the amazing secondary characters that lent the perfect amount of depth. She fills this story with so much more than a simply reading....it's action filled, s...more
4.25 out of 5. The heroine is a take-charge kind of woman --twin sister to the pack Alpha and a person who knows how to project her own brand of power. But her brother is waaaaaaay over the top in keeping Meara under wraps and it is only when he is away that she sees her chance to find that mate she wants so desperately. Now one of her brother's pals comes along and the fun really starts--intrigue, danger, sexual tension, all rolled up into one very readable and enjoyable paranormal and a contin...more
I read to escape, I read for entertainment. Reading takes me to different places and introduces me to new people and adventure. These are all good reasons to read Terry Spear’s A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing. I had read another of the author’s books a while ago, Seduced by the Wolf, and had enjoyed it, too. I had liked the characters in Seduced by the Wolf because they were fleshed out a bit and had back-story and dimension to them. I didn’t feel that this was the case with A SEAL in Wolf’s Clothing....more
Ohhhhhhhhhhh Finn...I don't know if there are any proper words to describe you. I adore you and you aren't even my favorite alpha. I enjoyed getting to know Finn very much. He was a joy to read. Meara was a treat as well. I knew she would be fun. After reading Hunter's book I've been wanting hers. Of course she had her moments when I wanted to smack her, but she was great for the most part. Her attempt at finding a mate was cute. She was obviously ready to settle down which I completely understa...more

I've never read a Terry Spear book before; A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing is number 9 (I think ) in a series, but the book was a good stand-alone, filling me in on backstory without being irritating or boring.
I really enjoyed this book - I flew through it in one day while convalescing - and will definitely put Spear down in my To-Read Authors list. The cast of characters is deep enough to promise more excellent books, and the Shifter part of the story wasn't SO overloaded with pack politics, which h...more

Meara Greymere wants to find a mate without her overprotective brother interfering. There is no better time than when her brother and his wife are on their honeymoon. She didn’t plan on being hunted by an assassin or have Finn Emerson, one of her brother’s SEAL buddies show up to spoil her fun, too. Her attraction to Finn irks her, but his power of persuasion proves difficult to resist.

I thoroughly enjoyed A Seal in Wolf's Clothing. Terry Spears 9th installment in her Heart of the Wolf series. Meara is on a mission! She is hunting for a mate while her loving but overprotective brother is on his honeymoon. And since he NEVER approves of anybody that Meara shows interest in, this is THE perfect time to do what she's wanted to do for so long.

When I first started reading this I was confused about what was going on. Even though it is a standalone book, I feel that reading the previous books would have cleared up some of the back story. For one thing, the DNA issue. I’m sure that TS explained this in another book but in this one there was nothing, not a peep. Being a military girl myself, I find it hard to believe that no one in the Navy noticed their DNA was different. I...more

I love werewolves and this is a prime example of a hot as hell, Alpha male. I couldn’t wait to see how Finn and Meara work through their differences. I love the fact that they’ve been fighting the attraction for so long and then fate throws them together where they can resist it no longer. There is non-stop action and loving in this book. I like the fact that the author didn’t stick with the rule and added a new aspect to the werewolf mating that I haven’t seen before. I love when an author spin...more

This is a light paranormal romance. I originally tagged it "Erotic-Werewolves" but deleted that tag as the sex in this book is not intense or explicit enough for that genre. I was expecting something different with this book given the storyline involving a Navy SEAL and werewolves, and while it was a nice paranormal romance read, it was just that. I had also read that the author, Terry Spear, has considerable expertise on wolves and how they live in the wild and there is some of that here, but n...more
Terry Spear's, A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing was an absolute amazing read. It just goes to show his books could do well as a stand alone too. I have to admit, I've never read any of Terry Spear's books until now, this is my first one. Which has in turn made me go buy others.
I love the characters in this book, especially my main girl Meara. I feel a bit sorry for her that she is stifled by and older brother, not to mention many in the wolf pack. She hasn't hardly had a chance to spread her wings. For...more

It’s been a while since I’ve read a shifter story. When that happens, I figure it’s time to pick up a Terry Spear book. Time after time she delivers, giving paranormal fans plenty of wolves, plenty of action, plenty of mystery, and, of course, love and romance aplenty.

This was a very good read because with of the way Terry Spear’s writes she brings out her characters in such a way that you really feel you get to know them. I was just a little disappointed in the beginning of story, and was not enjoying it as much as the other books, it had just a little too much action and not enough romance between Finn and Meara.
