I really did like this book. The ending wasn't very strong, but I had a great time reading it!
Definitely not as good as Nine Coaches Waiting, but (I'm keeping it ambiguous so as to avoid spoilers) the relationship at the end between two of the characters was completely sweet and satisfying and everything I could have asked for!

Good, mainly for the romantic angle. The actual end is confusing and a little too simple. This is one of those books where all the fun is from what leads up to the end. The end isn't so disappointing that it ruins the rest, though. Premised on telepathy, which may annoy some people, but it is an interesting plot point.

Pure nostalgia. I first read this book when I was 13 or 14 so when I saw a battered paperback copy on the swap rack waiting for the ferry (having just finished the book I brought with me) I couldn't resist.

Mary Stewart is one of my all-time favorites. This is an old-fashioned thriller: well-written, witty, with interesting characters and a plot with unexpected twists and turns.

I received this book as a joke birthday present. It wasn't much of a book. It put me in the mind of the old paperbacks my father would read when he was waiting for us to finish baseball practice. Easy to put down but not really bad.

This was really not a good book, but I think the title is hilarious. Even though I know I won't like it, I will totally read this book again. This book really taught me to touch not the cat.

The title doesn't make sense until the end of the book, but it's a fun ride getting there.

I loved all of her mysteries when I was young. Haven't picked one up in ages though.

Even a slightly better than average Mary Stewart is better than most other books...

I can't remember why I didn't care for this book. Maybe I was just in a bad mood.
