Personally, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Warriors! I even have a club 4 it with a bunch of people. This book took my breath away with the shadowclan cats. I am used 2 books with Thunderclan, but I got the chance 2 C what shadowclan was all about and there secrets. I totally recomendend this book 2 any young reader. But I loved the book SOOO much that I never wanted it 2 end, even though it was a super edition. I LOVE WARRIORS! All of there books, but I think so far, this is one of there best.

I enjoyed this book about Yellowfang, but truthfully I expected more than what was there.
It wasn't as shocking or exciting as Bluestar's Prophecy or Crookedstar's Promise
and I found that, even though I read it quickly that it wasn't a very fast paced book.
I did give it 4 stars because this is my rating scale:

1 - hated it!
2 - not great, but it wasn't the worst book either.
3 - neither good nor bad...it didn't stick out
4 - good book. Not the best I've ever read, but enjoyable none the less.
5 - exce...more

This book seriously made me weep.
It was depressing.
Yellowfang lost everything.
In the beginning, I was so in love with the book.
I love Raggedpelt, and I loved the relationship he had with Yellowfang. I knew it was going to end, and I knew their history, but I never knew how devastating it truly was.
First off, Raggedpelt/star was confusing. He had mood swings. He could be so devastatingly sweet and charming and gentle and enigmatic, a mixture of beauty and pain, or he could be mean and cruel, unp...more

In this book there is a she-cat named Yellowkit (when she is a kit(ten)). She later graduates to an apprentice and is known as Yellowpaw, and finally she becomes a warrior, and is named Yellowfang. As she goes through moons (months) in her clan, she starts to notice that something is wrong. Whenever there is a battle or another cat is hurt, she seems to feel other cats pain. Her clan's (ShadowClan) medicine cat, Sagewhisker tells her that her destiny is to become a medicine cat even though Yello...more

This book is part of the Warriors series, and although it can be read as a stand-alone, I recommend reading "Into the Wild" first, in order to fully understand the clan setup and functions. There are four cat clans in the forest, each with a leader and many other ranks. This book centers around Yellowfang, a medicine cat of Shadowclan, who in "Into the Wild" moves to Thunderclan. The book explains many of the secrets surrounding Yellowfang’s love life and her banishment from Shadowclan (which ar...more

Warriors: Yellowfang’s Secret by Erin Hunter is a special edition book of the Warrior series. It 501 pages long and was published in 2012. The intended audience for this book is young adults. The main problem this book addresses is revealing where Yellowfang’s loyalties lie in her clan. The book takes place in the forest, and probably could not take place anywhere else since they are wild cats and that is where their clan lives. The main character is Yellowfang, but Raggedstar also appears in th...more

This book was....wow. I was sure it would be good, but this.... no words. I was definitely not expecting to love it as much as I did, because I hadn't liked Crookedstar's Promise or Bluestar's Destiny as much as the other Warriors super editions. But this was great. I stayed awake thinking about it later! That hasn't happened in a while.

Yellowfang. The ornery cat. The cat that, before this book, I would have never considered for my list of Top 10 List of Warriors Cats. This has put her way up th...more

I must say that I'm actually disappointed with this book.

SPOILERS!

I was really looking forward to learning more about ShadowClan and some prominent characters from this period in the Clans. It felt like one event after another with little time for characterization. I mean, I know we alreay knew Yellowfang's story, but I was hoping for a little bit more information or insight and I felt I didn't get it.

I was also hoping to see how Yellowfang and Raggedpelt would react to one another after Brokens...more

"Yellowkit always dreamed of becoming the greatest Warrior in all of Clans, but that was not meant to be: StarClan had picked out her destiny right at birth and that was to care for her Clan, to become a Medicine Cat. This story is about love, pain, and protection."

Aaah, good ol' Warriors. I grew up with this series, being a fan for about five or six years. I literally cherish this whole series and it's inspired me to read more, draw more, and write more. The...more

Okay this book was about as great as The Last Hope, not that great. I am too lazy to give a long review like with that book but I'll just say that the book was very rushed, choppy, and felt extremely anti-climatic at times. Raggedstar was also an annoying bipolar rat. The whole thing with Hal was really random and weird. In fact a lot of the cats deaths seemed extremely random (especially Hal's Cloudpelt's and Sagewhisker's). Yellowfang's magical power was stupid and unnecessary. Brokenstar had...more

I'm a longtime fan of Warriors. I am 15, and I started reading these when I was 10. The people who introduced me to these dont read them anymore, but I still continue to love them.

When I read all the books, I had never liked ShadowClan. I always went from loving ThunderClan to WindClan to RiverClan, but never ShadowClan. I always saw them as evil, as Brokenstar and Tigerstar lead them, and I didn't really ever like Blackstar. I think it was past due that ShadowClan got a book about them.

I love t...more

A terrible, heart wrenching yet wonderful story. The Hunter's have done it again with a beautiful tale from the world of the warrior cats! A story that gives the reader insight into former ShadowClan medicine cat Yellowfang's past, just as Crookedstar's Promise Crookedstar's Promise and Bluestar's Prophecy Bluestar's Prophecy have. I look forward to more Warriors books in the future. Perhaps, the Erin Hunter team should do a super edition on WindClan now, with the main character perhaps Tallstar...more

This book was WONDERFUL! I loved how in the end it ended where the first book of the Warriors series started. It was very interesting about how much Yellowfang suffered in her life. I knew that she had suffered, but not his badly. I would recommend this book to someone who had already read the first book of the Warriors series because it really explains what happens and why, so it is best to at least read that one, THEN, you might consider reading this one. Just as a warning, this book made me c...more

Erin Hunter's love for cats is expressed very clearly through her series of cat superheroes. Yellowfang, known for his aggressive fighting style finds out his true fate as a medical warrior. Despite all the years of training to be a real fighter and to stand up against the bullies he deals with everyday, he's soon looked down upon when he announces his advancement to medical station. However, this does not stop her to prove that the old Yellowfang is still there as she climbs her way up her frie...more

An important lesson was learned when I finished this book, trust your instincts!!! After reading the last hope (I feel like my brain is still recovering from that mess) I told myself I was done with Warriors. Well I saw this book and was like hey cool Yellowfang, it's on sale, what the heck, I'll read it! Haha bad idea.
It's not that Yellowfang's Secret was necessarily a bad book, it just seemed like I was reading something I had already read.
I mean we all know what her secret was and all, but...more

I loved this book! I personally thought this book had more depth, emotion, and truthfulness than all the other Warrior books put together. It made me really sentimental at some parts, and I really connected with Yellowfang. Also, this answered several questions I had about the series. I didn't know so many things, and I won't tell you what they are, because I don't wanna spoil it for you! (view spoiler)[If you're reading this, and you haven't read the book yet, I KNEW IT! 4.5 stars, so far the best Warriors super edition I have read. As always it was interesting to see life outside of ThunderClan, Yellowfang being able to (view spoiler)[feel other's pain (hide spoiler)] was a really interesting premise and a legit reason to become a medicine cat, Raggedpelt/star got you so annoyed at times especially his favoritism to his son, and you really did feel the horrors of Brokenstar's reforms (which I had kinda forgotten since reading the other zillion books after Into...more

An engaging prequel to the main series arc, with a surprisingly generous view of a happy, prosperous and good-willed Shadowclan - many of the same cats who only a few seasons later, under the stressors of fear, privation and bad leadership, will devolve into the most sinister, suspicious and threatening force in the forest. Yellowfang is one of the more subtle and powerful characters in the Warriors universe, and here we see her growing from callow, willful young kit to a wise, effective if curm...more

So far in this book, it has made me laugh and literally almost cry with this story line. I mean, I usually just read it and move on to another but i have to say that this book has been truly amazing so far. Erin Hunter has outdone herself this time. She really figured out a way to add a good back story to someone hardly gone into detail throughout the actual series. I really hope that she comes up with more books like this one, because so far, it has been the best.

I liked this book a lot and constantly felt torn by Yellowfang's choices. It made me feel so sorry for Yellowfang and opened my eyes to her world and life before she joined ThunderClan. I think anybody whose a Warrior fan should definitely take a look at it, you'll love it!

Ask any Warrior's fan. Everyone knows and loves Yellowfang, and learning about how she met Fireheart, and became medicine cat in the first place, well, that was just a treat! Thanks so much Erins, for yet another wonderful Warrior's book!

Yellowfang's Secret

to tell the truth, i didn't like this book. it does not explains much anything about anything. I think it needs more thrill, though it did suck me in. I got confusing at the end, and it broke of at the worst place EVER.
Shannon
Better than I had expected, but the characters still seemed very one dimensional and I still get that feeling that other unimportant cats of the same clan are just ghosts walking around in the background. But still, a nice relaxing read.
