Basil Derek Wragge-Morley (1920 - 1969) born in Cambridge was most noted for his work on the study of ants. This book was a dedicated effort of both field research and combining a great deal of the historical writing available at the time to create a clearer picture of the ant.

I really liked this, a guy who decided to write a whole book on ants. doesn't allow boredom because it's nice and short and is full of interesting facts and popular myths about the common and uncommon ants of our world. Great for the person who just wants to learn about something for the sake of not knowing anything really about it in the first place.
