I was so happy to find out the next and final (*sob*) book of this awesome series was out! I have absolutely loved the past books and I knew to expect that this one would be just as good! Once again Heather has left me on the flippin' edge of my seat for the majority of this book. For cereal.
The book starts off with the whole gang together. Caitlin, Fane, Aiden (*swooooon*), and Eren. I was super excited to jump right back into the world of this book. Because it's so much fun! :) I mean, of cou...more

This book was the perfect ending to the series!
Considering I had the first book of this series on my TBR list for so long, I killed this trilogy once I started reading it!
The first two books were good; they introduced us to all the characters, as well as provided the necessary background into how they all connected together.
But in Rise of a Rector, everything that had been hinted at, finally reaches its epic conclusion!

Wow! I just finished reading this morning, and I am in shock. Heather McCorkle has grown so much as a writer and a storyteller since the first book. While I loved The Secret of Spruce Knoll and Channeler’s Choice, the third novel in this trilogy absolutely blew me away.
Eren Donovan is a channeler–a person able to use the Earth’s energy for fighting or healing purposes. She is fast, strong and smart. But her mixed heritage of Mayan and Irish blood has pegged her as “other” amongst her kind. Add...more

First and foremost, I love to read! Fantasy, sci-fi, and horror (and all their sub-genres) are my favorites.
I am an author of fantasy, in all its many sub-genres. Living green, saving endangered species, helping other writers, and supporting fabulous authors are a few of my passions. I am also a volunteer for the IS Foundation which works to make the world a greener place. When I'm not volunteeri...more
