This book is indicative of an irritating trend in modern cook books, "the celebrity recipe book." It does nothing to improve the reader's abilities as a cook. All it really does is give ingredient lists interspersed with glamour shots of the celebrity (and the things that said celebrity thinks you should care about).

Please stop writing these things.
I didn't like this as well as some of her other books. There were not as many pictures and the pictures that were there were clumped together in two sections with page numbers in ( ) that referred you to the page that the recipe was on. I don't like having to flip back and forth like that. Give me the recipe and show me the picture.

I did find one good recipe for cooking asparagus.
Be forewarned: many of the recipes were printed in at least one previous cookbook. There are over 15 recipes from Express Lane Meals alone, and some of the exact same pictures are reprinted here as well. This book is for those new to Ray's cookbooks and those who want her most popular recipes all in one volume.
