Four stars for what is really 'just' a manual for a computer application may seem excessive. The rating and the book of course are eclectic as you are going to have to use the Adobe Lightroom 4 product to evaluate the book fully.

A big ol' book, but the pages fly by. Well written and informative.

If you're just starting with Lightroom this book might not be for you. There's a lot of discussion about older versions and how the latest version compares, which might be confusing if you never used the old ones. For those of us that did, however, it's perfect.

It covers pretty much everything you'll want to know. I skipped a few chapters that I don't care about and the rest were self-contained enough for it to not matter.

A bible for Lightroom users. It will go to the "red" shelve only when the next release comes out.

Until then it is my on-going reference book that I open now and then to find how-to's on features I forgot or never used.

Good stuff. I've read it to learn more about what I can do to a photo with Lightroom. I've learned much more, even if I skipped bits about printing and gallery generation.
Joe
An excellent, comprehensive reference book for using Lightroom. Highly recommended.
