He covered her mouth with his hand. “I love you, Allison.”

When he slipped his fingers off she leapt, wrapping herself around him and clinging tight. “I love you too, Angel Boy. I’m so glad you’ve found your wings.”

One of my favorite series. Loved both Gabe and Allison. Hated the father with every fiber of my being. He was such a mean/evil person.

2 ½ stars. Nice characters doing nice things. But I wasn’t emotionally anything. It was easy to put down.

Even the sex scenes didn’t grab me. I found myself skimming them.

The story lines include: Gabe and Allison pretend to be engaged. Gabe is a good guy helping others. His main problem is trying to make the family farm more profitable, but his abusive and cruel dad causes problems. Allison is a neat woman and smart. Her mother is dying of cancer. Gabe and Allison spend quality time with her moth More...

I received an e-ARC of ROCKY MOUNTAIN ANGEL from the author for review.

The Six Pack Ranch series is one hot series. I'll start with that. I discovered these books at the Romantic Times Convention in Chicago this past April/May. I read the first one right before going, then had the opportunity to meet Vivian while I was there. As soon as I got home I finished the remaining two books, and waited patiently for this one.

Gabe is a cousin to the Coleman's of the first three books. But he is no less More...

I have wanted to read this ever since Vivian Arend posted a snippet at her blog, so when she offered ARCs, I requested one. And I am glad I did.

This was a touching and heart warming story. I liked how Allison and Gabe let things take time, and didn't rush anything. But while they took their time, they were always there for each other when they had had a rough day. And there was plenty of those.

But most of all, I loved how their relationship with their families were depicted. Both the good and ba More...

It took me a few chapters to get into Gabe's story as it was a lot about the ranch in the beginning. The parts about the ranch didn't completely keep my attention but this didn't prevent me from enjoying the rest of the story. Gabe is su More...

I have read and really enjoyed the 3 earlier books in Vivian Arend's Six Pack Ranch series. This one for some reason fell a little flat for me. I don't really buy the fake engagement as a plot device, and that could be part of the reason. It just doesn't seem realistic to me. I did like the development of the relationship between Gabe and Allison, as they reached their inevitable HEA. I thought the same end could have been achieved without the fake engagement thrown in.

There were some great ste More...

The ending brought it up to 3 stars. Not because it was great, but because they didn't do anything stupid. Unfortunately, this story didn't work for me. I liked both of the characters. They were intelligent, kind, and more than willing to help others out. The steamy scenes didn't work for me. Just the way they were told fell flat for some reason. The relationship between the two of them was sweet and never had any drama which was a huge win for the book. For the rest, I'm treating it like a spoi More...

Another great read from Vivian Arend featuring Gabe Coleman, who we've met in previous books. Gabe is the guy who is there for everyone without question. In his father's eyes he's a loser who can't do anything right. He tried running, and only hurt himself because he missed his family and the land he loves. He's back home trying to make things work for his family's sake. Enter Allison, who needs a favor, and is willing to trade knowledge that he needs to keep his family's ranch running. I love G More...

Gabe lives up to his name - he is an angel! Allison needs his help and he gives it to her without question. This is a theme in Gabe's life in his dealing with everyone. Allison sees this and wants to speak out but doesn't feel it is her place in their fake relationship. Neither can deny their attraction to each other so they add a sexual relationship to their story but Allison still holds out on the emotional attachment. Gabe falls and lets Allison know but she still holds back admitting her fee More...

Gabe Coleman from the Angel branch of the family is the sweetest, hottest, most kind hearted strongest hero I have read about in a while. Hot. Allison Parker is heartbroken at her mother's impending death and in her desperation uses Gabe just like everyone else does. It isn't long before she regrets the disception but enjoys the building ties and romance.

Everyday problems and embarrassing situations make this book believeable, enjoyable and a great read, just as the other books in this series. More...

Thirty years ago four sons split an inherited spread in the majestic foothills of the Canadian Rockies. The people of small town Rocky Mountain House have given each family of ranchers a nickname: Angel, Whiskey Creek, Six Pack and Moonshine.

Gabe Coleman has a lot on his plate. The family ranch is in financial trouble and his old man is a miserable cuss with a chip on his shoulder the size of Mt. Everest and he won’t listen to son’s ideas to revitalize the farm. Then Allison Parker one of his hi More...

This was so much fun to read because of the friendship that Gabe and Allison started with. I liked that it was a favor between friends that brought them together and then that with the daily contact things built for them.

It was easy to see why everyone called Gabe the Angel Coleman. I hated the reason behind all of Gabe's good acts, but loved the kind of man that he was. It was fun to see Allison tease Gabe about his halo.

I hated what was happening with Allison's family, hated that they had to More...

Rocky Mountain Angel is a story of life and repeated encounters of two souls who could have meant a lot to each other. But apparently they both needed to grow up to be able to love the other one more fully even if they were half in love with each other and just needed a little push. This push came in the form of death of one of the protagonist’s dear one.

The love story is a great one, the family ties are very important part of characte More...

Rocky Mountain Angel is the 4th book in the Six Pack Ranch series by Vivian Arend. This series has been hit and miss with me. A couple of the books were just alright, but this one was more than just alright. It was really, really good!

Wow, it’s hard to believe we are already to book four in Vivian Arend’s Six Pack Ranch series. I have loved each one so far mainly because the stories have all been so different and Rocky Mountain Angel proves that a really great series writer can take an often used plot and turn it into gold.

Every time I read a book about these hot Canadian cowboys I know I’m in for a sweet, hot and sexy ride. This book was no different, even though I can’t say it was my favorite in the series.

Gabe Coleman has worked his fingers to the bone to help run the family ranch, even in the face of severe adversity from his nasty Father. Now the ranch is now longer making money, hindered by his Fathers inability to change with the times and bring some much needed innovation to the ranch. When Allison reappears in his life after more than a year, it’s with an offer he simply can’t refuse; she’ll help him bring in the much needed changes for free and make sure his ranch is used to stock a local More...

I fell in love with the characters (well all of them except for one) and the story from the start. There’s so much an everyday person can relate to and it’s so lovingly written that it holds you tight until the very end! You’ll cry, laugh and find yourself unable to put the book down because you’ll feel like you’ll miss what’s going to happen next. For some reason, this book of the series grabbed me. After book 3, I was almost ready to give up. I don't think any review should have spoilers, so I will just say that this is a romance, with some hot hot hot thrown in! I feel like I'm a part of the Coleman clan at this point, and I can't leave. Did I get bored? Yeah..... But something about the way their love developed was what grabbed me.
I want a Gabe Coleman! I can't wait (and hope)that we get some Twins, and Travis reality. Loving you Vivia More...

Allison Parker had not planned to return home to Rocky Mountain, but when she learns her mother is keeping a secret she finds a reason for her return. Asking friend Gabe Coleman to pretend they are engaged in return she will help him develop his organic ranching plans. While Gabe agrees, he didn’t expect to become so easily accepting of her in his life nor to have to be fighting with the chemistry that is developing between them.

Gabe is a hot cowboy and a very caring guy. When his old friend Allison asks him for help and a fake engagement, and gives him a good enough reason to deceive his family for a few months, he agrees.

This is an enjoyable series, and in each book it's good to see what's going on with the rest of the family. In this one we learn a little more about the four Coleman families, why Gabe's is so broken, and one of Travis's secrets.

Gabe and Allison were hot together, and it was great they could support e More...

This is my first Six Pack Ranch book, and I really liked it. Worked really well as a stand alone.

Pretend engagement stories are not always my favorite, but this one worked..I think because there isn't major conflict or drama surrounding the pretend engagement. Gabe and Allison fall for each other pretty quick, without much conflict...but I liked how it is done. They are both such warm, fun characters. And the sex. Dear lord the sex - it's dirty and gooooooood.

I liked this one because it was a shift away from erotica to a full-fledged story. We've all seen the fake engagement plot before, but I thought Arend did a good job of grounding it in reality.

I enjoyed the relationship between Gabe and Allison, and I liked how Gabe looked after the people around him. His father is an asshole of epic proportions and there's one scene involving kittens that's absolutely heartbreaking.

While it's loosely linked to the first three books in the Rocky Mountain/Six P More...
