"What is the difference between a villain and a hero?

Although a bit predictable Even Villains Fall in Love was a cute read. Between the antics of Evan and Tabitha's hilarious daughters and the absolute bone melting love that the supposed 'super villain' shows for his wife I couldn't get enough.

It's the perfect feel-good read. You'll laugh, cry and, amazingly enough, root for a happily ever after for a super villain!

*one of my favorite conversations in a book. EVER.*

This book was a fast-paced, hilarious delight from beginning to end! Only problem I had with it was that it ended too soon. Fortunately, the author says she plans more in the series, which I cannot wait to read. Telling things from the "bad guy's" perspective is definitely unique. It was also nice to see a love story between husband and wife that's just as hot as anything in romance or YA.

If you're a fan of fantasy, sci-fi, superheroes, comic books, and laughing, read this book.

Funny, witty and romantic! I've never come across a plot like this! This is sort of in the superhero fan fiction area! Something I would have killed to have had a chance to read when I was a geeky teen. Okay, so we have The Avengers and all the superheroes involved ( Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and so on... ) , and then we have Super Villains and let's not kid our selves we have the occasional wet dream of the bad guy going good just for us - cue in Even Villains Fall In Love!

Evan is such a...more

I knew from the opening line that I was going to like this book! It’s a fast-paced, good-humoured delight from beginning to end. This is a fantasy romance with super villains and super heroes/heroines.
Dr. Charm is a super villain who must make the most difficult choice – world domination or the woman he loves AKA super heroine Zephyr Girl. Being a married duo isn’t easy, especially when your wife decides to go back to work and you have 4 little blessings, all of whom are showing signs of superpo...more

This book is excellent. It's not just because of the surface flashy stuff (superheroes and super villains, adorable kids, minions, excellent humour, and cool tech) but also because of a poignant theme that almost made me cry when I came to the last page. If I had only five words to sum it up, I'd say: Fun and very, very beautiful.

The Good:

I LOVED this book! I've been waiting on it since I read the blurb back in January, and it didn't disappoint. The premise of a supervillain marrying the superhero really intrigued me, even if his methods for maintaining his perfect marriage seems morally questionable. What else would you really expect from the villain? So, the idea was novel and the blurb compelling. The story is very well written. Each chapter starts with a little snippet of internal though by the main character, each o...more

I HAVE A CRUSH ON DOCTOR CHARM!!

At first I wasn't sure what to make of a superhero romance, but within the first few sentences, I was hooked!

I am sorry to say that I am not immune to Doctor Charm's... uh... charm. In fact the entire story was completely charming! If the premise of a superhero falling for a supervillain isn't enough to intrigue you, throw in four absolutely adorable little girls, a smattering of genetically engineered minions, and then blur the line between good guys and bad guy...more

The Evil Super Villain Doctor Charm settled down with his arch-rival Zephyr and had a family - four darling little girls - and has 'given' up his evil ways (mostly) and is living his happily ever after until the unthinkable happens. Now Doctor Charm is going to have to put his secret plans for world - actually national - domination on hold and dust off his Dior to win back his wife and save his kids.

This was a very cute story and I liked how Doctor Charm saves the day - with a little help from h...more

This book drew me in from the first sentence, the first page. Come on, this is an epic opening: "I knew from the first time I saw my wife that I wanted her naked. Of course, seven minutes later I wanted revenge. It wasn't that she handed me my first defeat or ruined my chances for world domination that year, it was the way she kissed me good-bye." !!???

Unlike most romances, which focus on courtship, this book takes place after the couple is already married and has four kids (quadruplets.) Romant...more

This book is told from the hero/villain's perspective and it demonstrates why writing villains can be so fun. Evan was awesome. Not exactly Eeeeevil, more like bent on world domination. It was cute and clever. This isn't a critique, but although their smexy times are discussed, when it gets to that point, this is a pull-the-shades level of explicitness. Ahem, meaning none. That is fine, just not the level of smexy I'm used to.

Highly recommend as the premise sucked me in and completely delivered...more

I'm really torn about this book. I thought the premise sounded so great, but I was a bit disappointed in the book. For me, it was too short, which translated into a lot of world building being lost. I know that it was set within the past 5 years, but I couldn't tell you where it was set or why superheroes and supervillains needed to be registered with the government. It listed a lot of superheroes, but the only villain mentioned by name was Doctor Charm, who was also our "host" for the book. I a...more

This book was too much fun. It was a quick read, I loved the plot, I loved the characters, and I loved the writing style. Liana Brooks has a true fan in me!

The first line of the book hooked me. “I knew from the first time I saw my wife that I wanted her naked”. My first thought to myself was, what a way to start a book! The fun only continued from there. In Even Villains Fall In Love, Evan, the storyteller and a retired super villain, has to reclaim his wife (who is a retired superhero) and make...more

A super villain at the top of his game must choose between the world he wants and the woman he loves. If you believe the rumors you know that Doctor Charm, the wickedly sexy super villain, retired in shame seven years ago after his last fight with the super hero Zephyr Girl. The fact that the charming Evan Smith-father of four and husband of the too-beautiful-to-be-real Tabitha-bears a resemblance to the defeated Doctor is pure coincidence. And, please, ignore the minions. Everything is perfect...more

Fun, quirky and zany with a great take on the Superhero and villans trope with a twist!

I loved that the pov was with the villain, Evan aka as Dr Charm who is deeply in love with his superhero wife, Tabitha aka as Zephyr Girl. But his plans for world domination on the sly and his comfortable domestic bliss with his family is on the rocks when Tabitha starts to distance herself from them. With his minions and precocious quads who love to get into trouble too - Evan is on a mission to save his mar...more

Those of you that follow me on Twitter will probably not be surprised by my adoration of this book. Not only is it my twinny's debut (SO EXCITING), I helped out with the betaing and proofreading of this one, so it's completely amazing to have seen it go from a casual summer joke to Real Live Proper Book. YAY!

EVFiL is a fun, quirky story about the super villain who married the superhero. He's hot, she's gorgeous, and it was just the kind of scandal the world needed :D Only now they have four kids...more

Evan Smith was a super-villain with an ethical code (morals are different from ethics) who fell in love with a super-hero. He was *mostly* willing to give up world domination if he could feel like king of the world with his wife Tabitha; he still dabbled a bit to keep food on the table and for the intellectual exercise. But in general he tried to live by the moral code of his woman in order to keep her happy and in his bed.

Then something happens to his wife, leaving him with four active daughter...more

Editing this book was a difficult job, indeed. Why? Because I kept getting lost in the story itself. I enjoyed this book so much. It was one of the funnest reads I've ever encountered. The main character is a "retired" super villain. Seeing him interact with his little girls as he tries to save his wife made me giggle and tear up.

I can't say enough good things about this book. It didn't have steamy sex, which set very well with the overall feeling. It did, however, leave me turning pages even on...more

This was a quick, adorable read. (Think Despicable Me for romance lovers.) The characters were fun, the superhero paraphernalia tongue-in-cheek without being cheesy, and I loved that it was told completely from the hero's POV.

If I had to pick on one part of the story, it would be that the couple had sex like a gazillion times a day. Okay, okay, they're superpeople and all, and it *is* a romance novel, and they live in a completely fabricated world, and the hero has actual honest-to-goodness mini...more

I loved this book. It's absolutely adorable. There are several aspects that make it a completely unique superhero story, while still following the genre faithfully. Reminded me a lot of Despicable Me, only for grownups. It's the story of a supervillain who marries a superhero and has quadruplet daughters. The catch? She only loves him because he built a machine to make her fall in love. When she leaves him, and his daughters, he has to choose between winning her back or following through on his...more

I can't say enough about this book. It was so good. A fast easy read and I, at the very least, chuckled once during each chapter. I already love anything super hero w/ humor, so this was perfect for me. I LOVED the minions and the quad girls w/ their own super powers. Loved Evan's ability to multi-task on world domination, get his wife back, and raise 7 year old quads. And all with the patience of a saint.

Super sexy romance without crossing the line. I couldn't put this book down. SO good. I love the characters and the tension. The minions made me laugh, the kids tugged at my heartstrings and Doctor Charm kept me cheering from his corner, despite the fact he's a super villain.

The perfect balance of sci-fi superhero and romance. Brooks takes super villains to an entirely new level.

The witty opening put me into the mindset of the main character of this story. When his carefully crafted world is torn apart by events he can barely comprehend, much less control, I found myself being dragged down with him, right to the twist ending.

lovely. hilarious. whoever thought a villain married to a superhero, with four daughters coming after their parents could be so much fun?
however, the book has a serious shortcoming: it's too short and there are no sequels!
Christina McKnight
Ms. Brooks concept for this novel is completely new and refreshing. A super hero marrying a super villain? This is great! Also, I enjoyed the main character's witty personality. I look forward to book #2 in the series.

This fun, enchanting book gives a fun look at the villain side of the superhero world. A little bit of romance combines with a lot of action and some super cute kids to make the adventure more exciting.
