WOW loved this! Another favourite to add to the long growing list. This year has been one of the best book-wise. I loved Levi and Allies banter and how she played hard to get and always had something to say and they challenged each other. It's like Levi didn't know how to handle her because no one had ever not melted into a puddle at his feet and done everything he asked and Allie and him were perfect together because she wouldn't let him intimidate her.
Man he was gorgeous! I also loved Hailey,
Warning this review is very sarcastic, contains very mild spoilers & it basically just gifs..

It all starts out with a road trip to New Orleans, where Allie & Jess are working for the summer.

Jess is a bit of an airhead.. constantly drooling after guys..
Allie seems to find it all a bit

Then something happens with Jess & she ditches Allie to run back home.. great friend..

Allie & Levi hang out, get close.. he always has something to hide, always hold back.. yet she falls for him,

Flight, the first book in the Crescent Chronicles, is a Young Adult paranormal romance. As is typical of Young Adult romances, the intimate scenes are very tame and could easily be appropriate for listeners of junior high age on up. Additionally, the plot is mostly focused on the paranormal world and coming of age of issues, once again making this title suitable for almost all ages of romance readers.

Allie starts Princeton in the fall so she wants one last adventurous summer away from her ex-boyfriend. Allie and her friend Jess decide to work at her dad's hotel in New Orleans. Jess is a bit boy crazy and immediately wants to check out the New Orleans night life and eye candy while Allie wants to stay boy free. They meet Levi and his friends who are more than happy to show them a good time. Jess ends up deciding she wants to head home and Allie's

Maybe I missed a memo somewhere. Are all paranormal romance books 15% paranormal and 85% romance? It sure seems like it after the last few I’ve read, and I can’t say I like the trend. Flight is no different. While there are paranormal elements sprinkled in and some of the main characters are paranormal in nature, the feel of the book is almost entirely that of a YA/New Adult romance. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m perfectly fine with reading romance books, though I prefer to know how heavily those ...more

I really enjoyed Flight and I'm super excited to see how the story will continue in the second book!!!
The only thing I complain is that Allie pissed me sometimes she just keeps shutting Levi down admittedly he does something majorly wrong to her at the end of the book but I still was frustrated with Allie for the way she handled the situation.

Reading it with Alisa! :) yay!!! Had a huge head start for this cause she's a pretty fast robot. :O So I put off my other CR for this one! :) I hope this one is good! I don't really read the blurbs anymore. Um, yeah, cover snob. :o

4.5 stars.

Flight is an easy to read book. Just like the title, the flight is relatively easy, good and fast. I totally enjoyed it. I actually thought it'll be about werewolves since it was shelved in that category but NO, it was NOT about WEREWOLVES perse. It is about

Many spoilers...sorry.

I did not like this book.
Unfortunately this was not for me, maybe I am the wrong age group or perhaps I was swayed by my dislike of chauvinistic, cavemen badboys.

This was a book about a girl who falls into the world of 'were-crows' while she is on a working holiday at her mega rich fathers hotel in New Orleans. Allie is smart, apparently, and she is not adverse to danger while at the same time remaining sensible and after a string of bad choices has decided to hate men...S
Fast n easy read..
Different from other shifter books .
I loved Allie's attitude even though she like attracted to Levi she fights knowing when she was lied and betrayed too..though levi is hot n yummy...i was sad to see he lied to allie like that..and i think anyone would have reacted like Allie..i was seriously pissed and angry but oh well i also want to see how he woos her back and makes her to his side!It was definitely a fun read!
I just hope everything goes good in next book :)

I did a cover reveal for Flight and when I read the blurb I knew I had to read it. Lord was I not disappointed! Flight takes place in New Orleans and if any of you know New Orleans is beautiful. Hurricane Katrina tore it apart but the folks put it back together and most of the historic district was saved. While reading flight I kept picturing certain places in my mind and I am so glad I had those extra visuals because this book had me hooked from the very beginning.

Allie has sworn off all guys

The moment that I saw the book cover for Flight by Alyssa Rose Ivy, I knew I had to read this book. Within the first page I was completely pulled into the story and I could not put it down until I reached the end.

Because of the title, Flight, I immediately thought that the book was going to be about angels and I was happily surprised to find out that Alyssa Rose Ivy had come up with a new and interesting paranormal creature that is all her own.

It was a pretty good read. The idea of the Pterons was new.Allie was also a very interesting character. She was capable of resisting Levi's charms.(view spoiler)About the beginning I kind of liked him.He is so hot.*sigh*.But what he did in the end was really outrageous.I just wanted to slap him on the face for it.SERIOUSLY.I cannot say anything else without giving the plot away.Anyway I am curious to know wha ...more
Three Stars: An interesting paranormal read with a lackluster romance.

Allie is excited to settle into her summer job at her father's hotel in New Orleans before heading off to Princeton in the fall. Allie plans to enjoy her summer with her best friend without any romantic entanglements since she has sworn off guys. Her resolve is immediately tested when she catches the eye of a handsome stranger at the bar when she enters the hotel. Levi is handsome and charming and hiding a big secret. Will All

I really (almost) wish I hadn't started this book.

Why you ask?

Because, it is going to be an awful long wait until the next one is out and that, well, that just makes me sad. I didn't want this one to end.

I wasn't ready for it to be over. I want more. More Levi, more Allie, Hailey, Owen, Jared. more of the story.

What happens next? Do they make it? Where does their story go from here?

So yeah, needless to say, I fell in love with the characters, the writing, the story, the whole thing.

When Allie receives an invitation from her father to work in his new hotel in New Orleans, she sees it as a chance to experience something new before heading off to college. Allie thought spending the summer at her father's new hotel working would be the perfect opportunity to get acclimated to living on her own before college at Princeton started up that fall. She also thought she would be spending that summer man less. That is until she walks into her father’s hotel and locks eyes with a gorgeous guy. Yep, who was she kidding? Her summer was about to get a whole lot interesting.

Actual 2.5 stars.

I was sucked in by the enticing cover and subject matter. The premise sounded great and to be fair had great potential however it was let down my some downright cringe-worthy dialogue and a lack of character and emotional development. At times I felt like I must have missed a few chapters as the relationship between Allie and Levi seemed to come out of thin air. A lot of their so called 'relationship' is skimmed over or we are 'told' certain things instead of being shown them.

I took an instant liking to Allie, but I had a hard time imagining her as an 18-year-old the summer before college - she seemed older. (I have an 18yo senior in high school right now and can't imagine being comfortable with her in a new city with as much freedom as her parents gave her. . . - but then that's just me) But anyway, she ends up in New Orleans, living in a suite at her dad's hotel with her girlfriend Jess, sharing a cushy job with her where it appears she can set her own hours. This was a really fantastic book! I really enjoyed reading it, it just sucked me in, and when ending came, I was like, no, there has to be more pages, it can't just end there, I haven't read all of the 230 or so pages yet, there has to be more!!! But there wasn't, and now I have to wait for book 2, Focus, which doesn't come out until December! Th

The book is part of a tour too. It sounded interesting and the cover is so sexy, that I knew from the start that I had to read it. And, boy, how much I enjoyed it!!

The whole story takes place in New Orleans. I searched the city online, since I was going to spend the entire book in it, and Oh My God!! The city looks amazing, so beautiful and different. I mean French-Creole architecture and birthplace of jazz, there is nothing else I need. Luckily, the author transfers you in it. T
Flight is the first book in The Crescent Chronicles by Alyssa Rose Ivy.

From the moment I saw Flight and read an excerpt, I was anxious to get a hold of it but unfortunately it didn’t fully live up to my high expectations.

The main protagonist Allie has her life planned out, she would attend Princeton, study business and follow in her fathers footsteps but it wasn’t what her heart wanted; it was something she was doing for her parents, when an opportunity arose for her to work in New Orleans at he
Sometimes you have to take flight in life to explore the options you never knew you had. Allie would never think that let alone do. Her life is planned out to a tee but she is rather unaware of the fact. So Allie takes a leap before her life starts revolving around Princeton. The leap is a plane ride from New York to New Orleans for the whole summer.

Flight begins with Allie and her bestfriend, Jess on their way to New Orleans. As much as Jess can't get enough of guys, it definitely hasn't rubbed

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I just finished this book and am literally going NUTS wanting to read book 2...glad I got it as an ARC copy. I loved Levi and Allie. Levi is the hot guy all the girl want and Allie has sworn off guys. He does everything he can to sweet talk her and all she does is rebuff him. One of my favorite lines is in the beginning when Ow

First, I'd like to thank ATOMR for giving me this chance to participate in this tour.

I read Ms Ivy's Afterglow Trilogy a while back, and all I have to say Flight - a very apt title - is completely different from the author's previous series - in a very good way. I really enjoyed reading this book.

The story is written in Allison's - or Allie as the character prefers people to call her - POV. We experience her journey as she starts working at her dad's hotel in New Orleans, to when she meets this
