Go Publish Yourself! is a step-by-step, easy-to-read guide about the self-publishing process. Author Katie Salidas draws upon her experience of starting her own publishing company and offers not only a guide to putting together a polished product, but information on how to market it, something even a traditionally published author will find useful. The book encompasses everything from obtaining ISBN numbers to creating an attractive cover. There are sections on both bound and ebooks. Salidas als...more

I love this little book, typos and all. In 150 pages, Salidas tells authors who want to publish their own print and e-books everything they need to know in a quick, clear style that makes it easy to read a section and go do what it says. I did that with my own work-in-progress and marked a lot of pages to do later. There are lots of fat, confusing, quickly-out-of-date books about self-publishing on the market. If you have any interest in self publishing, or are just an existing author looking for some tips and clever help...this book is for you. In my opinion, this book should be on every modern writer's bookshelf. In the age of ebooks, self promotion, social media and the like, it's an invaluable source of information. I really can't say enough good things about Katie Salidas's book, but I'll try. Look for a spotlight coming to Unapologetic Fiction soon!

I found this book to be quite concise and easy to follow. Katie Salidas helped to identify, explain different expenditures and topics one must investigate when self publishing. She followed with firm examples of what to do and what not to do. I would recommend this book as a reference for any aspiring writer who is looking into self publishing.
