For Ava-Claire Sullivan, it's bad enough that loving vampire Peter Mackintire might kill him the rest of the way. His equally immortal mother keeps trying to murder her so Di won’t lose another of her precious sons.

A promise Peter made nearly a hundred years ago means loving someone will kill him. Ava's done her best to either end her own feelings or stifle his, but she's...more

Mmmm....a definite improvement over the 2nd book.... While Ava was still kind of annoying and...imbalanced emotionally? It's just that she would fly off the handle sometimes out of nowhere. I find it hard to follow and believe sometimes. However, Tex finally had some redeeming moments, which was a relief. I enjoyed her much more in this book, and even her relationship with Viktor....they worked well together in a strange way. I was so glad to have more Jamie moments too....curious to see where t...more

I really enjoyed the premise of books one and two. and the story goes forward in book three with the introduction of a new character, Brooke. Ivan had changed her. This confused me as I thought he had already died or dissolved himself in book two. I believe Brooke's transition was a back story, but it was confusing. Supposedly, Ivan had sent her to seek Ava and keep an eye on her for him. But when Ivan departed from Brooke and didn't return, Brooke became interested in another individual, Ava's...more

Three books into the series, and I still love it. This story was written with a good, steady pace throughout. The author knew what was needed to make her readers love every moment of this book. In this book, the point of view changes between three characters this time. It continues to switch from Ava’s to Peter’s, but now includes the POV of a new character, Brook. I must say, I grew attached to her and her story. I couldn’t wait to r...more

I have to admit the introducing of new characters is really not my thing but i guess it works the guy in the group needed love to. I'm not sure where we can go from here everything that you were dying to see not happen or happen did. It was a great read and i cant wait to see what happens next. although im not sure where the book can go from here. BTW I love Texas.

Omg!! So great and so emotional. Loved every word in it!! I really like how all the point of views of the different characters all flow together effortlessly. I love being able to see the different points of view and get everyones different emotions on the same events. Love Peter's devotion to Ava. Absolutely wonderful read. Cant wait for the next one!!!!

This book was another great addition to Chelsea's Noctalis series. I was a little skeptical at first when they switched scenes to Brooke's point of view, but quickly realized it was necessary. She blended into the story seamlessly.
I love Peter and Victor. They are trying to be human even though they are not. It is fun to read. Tex and Jamie are also great characters.
I wasn't real fond of the cancer and the immanent death of Ava's mom, though I understand it.
The story was fast paced and left me...more

Agh. Fan girl moment. I cannot wait until the last book! Please hurry!

Ok I am better. So this book introduced a new character and I really did not like Brooke but I liked the insight she provided about Ivan! I kind of missed him! The ending was sad and I cried!
