After her father died, Judy was somewhat daunted to find that he had consigned her to the guardianship of his old friend Quentin Frayle, whom she remembered from childhood as a forbidding character. Then she found that there was a far more attractive side to him - and alas! it was all being turned on his glamorous cousin, Crystal.

Typical 1967. The romance consisted of two kisses, I love you, and we're getting married. Very sweet. The heroine is 17, soon to be 18, the hero is around 34 I think (can't remember). He winds up her guardian altho they've never met. He falls for her at first sight then maintains a noble distance as he is her guardian. We of course don't know that because there is no H pov and it appears that he is involved with his poisonous cousin.
The book was ok, not particularly special.

Margery Hilton and her husband worked in the theater and in wasn't until she had to retire from her job due to a back injury, which also prevented her from doing any housework. So she had time to settle down to serious writing.
