Linc and White managed to hide their relationship from their sharp-eyed families, who would have taken it ill that their boys cared for one another. Some old mountain customs are alive and well here in the hills: feudin’, moonshinin’, and disappearing the bodies into old mine shafts. “Revenooers” are hated as much as during Prohibition, and the stills remain profitable. Blood is still thicker than water, or should be.

Have to say, this story isn't fresh or new compared to other, but even so, it was a sweet, a bit tragic, romance with easily written plot and a HEA at the end. The path to love was hard and lonesome, but it was worth it. Both main characters would agree with me.
I have had mixed success with this author, but I liked this book. I found the MC's likable, and even when the story twisted and turned, their relationship kept me coming back. There were parts where I wanted more, but it was a quick, enjoyable read.
