Where does My Dead Boyfriend rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
For full books it ranks in the middle. But for less than 5 hours it's towards the front of the pack.

What was one of the most memorable moments of My Dead Boyfriend?
As soon as the fairies hit and I had no clue where the story was going to take me. So, I just sat back and let the story unfold for me, and I'm glad that I did.

What about Karen Krause’s performance did you like?
I enjoyed all the voices throughout exce...more

I was unsure of what to expect when I saw the cover of this book. With a title like My Dead Boyfriend, it really could have gone in many directions. As I started the story, I began to get worried that it was going to follow the currently running equation: paranormal beings + an annoying loved-crazed girl. Wrong. Allison Mack is understandably grieving three months after her boyfriend, Mark, died in a car wreck. On her 16th birthday, he returns from the dead with a cryptic warning. Mark’s reappea...more

Allison is about to turn sixteen, and she not only will she get the party she never wanted, but she's about to get a whole lot more than she ever bargained for.

It begins with Allison waking up to her dead boyfriend and speeds right into problems with her home life and school. In a flash everything changes for her, and when her grandfather confesses a family secret, she finds that her entire life is about to change dramatically.

I feel like I was thrust into the story, as if there was a whole ot...more

I loved this story, though it felt far too short and was ecstatic that there was a teaser chapter for book 2 at the end. But then I went online to hunt for it, and couldn't find any sign of it (even though the promised publication date was 2 years ago). I would dearly love to see more of this series. As for the story itself, I loved Alison. She was a vibrant personality (though perhaps slightly too immature for her age) and I loved her boyfriend (though the two of them seemed too cold to each ot...more

This cute story, which is more of a novella than an actual novel, tells the story of a young girl named Allison who gets some very special gifts for her sixteenth birthday: a strange ring from her grandfather, a threatening message from a spirit, and a visit from her dead boyfriend.

The characters are fun. I often found myself smiling at Allison's inner dialogue, and I enjoyed her relationship with her dead brother and her boyfriend. The fairy element was also a hit. This book definitely is diffe...more
