Price i paid for this ebook: £ARC Price i would willingly pay: £2.00 - £3.00
Would i buy this as a paperback: DEFINITELY!!!

I don't like to say to much about the plot in my reviews as i find this can sometimes spoil the story. So very briefly:

The story follows the Wulf brothers, Coinin and Marrok, as they follow their destiny and take up their positions as the defenders of their world. Their enemies are many and powerful, and their path long and arduous.

So i know that doesn't tell you a lot but th...more

This is the first book in what is evidently going to be a long ‘Chronicle’ of high fantasy. There are humans, mages, elves, orcs, dragons, gods, giants, dwarves and, as they say, much much more! Initially, as the background was being set and the characters introduced, I felt a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of it all, but to be fair, it was setting the scene for a much longer epic story line. This is the author’s first book and I felt it took a while for him to settle into his writing st...more

The story flowed a little slow at first, about the first 10-15 pages. It would have been better if they were easier to understand. You'd get lost and then you'd have to re-read. Magick mixed with fantasy makes for a good read though. The glossary of names helped the reading if you know how to pronounce the names.

The brothers fishing together was heart-warming. You don't see a lot of that in today's world. Brothers don't usually have time for each other.

I thought the writing flowed very well. The...more

Marrok and Coinin Wulf are pushed towards their destinies, following their parent's death. In the care of their uncle they train and work waiting for the moment that will change their lives. Then one day, they are summoned to the secret temple of the Brotherhood, soon discovering that their destinies are far more important than they had thought! Death himself is trying to become the king of the gods, and if Coinin and Marrok cannot find the five swords of Cerathil in time the world will be dest...more

I am not usually a fantasty reader so I was a little scpetical when this book was first recommended to me. However, I couldn't put it down! It kept me engaged from the very start and now I am eager to see what the rest of the Aduramis Chronicles has to offer!

A well written book with twists and turns to keep you guessing. It felt original and each page led me to wanting to find out more, I was quite upset when I had finished it as I want to read on!

I found I quickly identified with the characters...more

I can't.

I tried, but I can't. I recieved this copy from the author to review. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to give up on this book as I don't want to waste anymore time on it.

I'm not giving it any stars as it's not fair for the author, considering I haven't finished it. However, I will provide my honest opinion, as harsh as it may be.

World Building

Terrible. For a fantasy epic that's planned to be around 6 books, I wanted to see some detailed world building, right down to what type of brick...more

Oh wow. After reading this, The Aduramis Chronicles are set to become one seriously epic masterpiece!

I don't really like the fantasy genre. I started the book with a negative thought at the back of my mind that the book wouldn't be for me and I'd give it up within a few pages. Hell was I wrong !

The writing is fabulous. Whether it's a battle, a ritual, or a landscape that is described, you just feel like you're there, and you get to feel for the characters.

But what I really enjoyed most of all i...more

I was given this book to review through a goodreads group where I've offered to review books for Indie's.

I'll start with the good things about this book. The plot was really good and the ideas were fantastic. It felt original and well thought out and for the most part I really wanted to know what happened next.

I also really liked the world building. Everything was nicely described and I felt totally immersed in the fantasy world created here. There were lots of little subtle details that made th...more
