Let's pretend this wall is my kindle...

I have never been so irritated (yet in love?) while reading a book!

One minute I wanted to punch my kindle and cut someone, the next I was all like...

Lexi contradicts herself
Ramsey is hiding shit
Jack...is being Jack! <3
Loads of sexual tension
Bekah is a whore
Chyna rocks!
A new guy
And I still loved it...
Lord.
Help.
Me.

Team Jack baby!

To sum it up: Lexi has finally given up her once destructive relationship and moved onto bigger and better things, namely Ramsey Bridges. But things are amiss with her new beau and she discovers things about him and his past that would make any girl turn the other way. And she's not sure his past can coincide with hers.

I've been manipulated in all the best ways! The. Best. Ways. K.A. Linde took everything from Avoiding Commitment and found a way to make it better. This was better. Better in a way that I did not see coming.
Don't get me wrong, this book will frustrate the hell out of you. There are times you'll want to punch Lexi right in the twat hole, grab Ramsey, then run! Wait...WHAT!?? Did she just say grab Ramsey? Hell yeah I did!

Before reading this review, I would suggest reading Avoiding Commitment, the first book in the series. See my review here. My review below has some spoilers from the first book. You don't want to miss reading these two books in order.
Avoiding Responsibility is the stellar sequel to Avoiding Commitment. It’s filled with passion, drama, angst, and lots of surprises. I didn’t feel near as exhausted or emotionally drained this time around. Don’t get me wrong, this was still an emotional rollercoast...more

So I have to say that after reading Avoiding Commitment I had to jump in immediately and read Avoiding Responsibility!! The books are so captivating that you just can't pull yourself away. This book was just as angsty as the 1st book. We continue Lexi's journey to completely get over Jack and holy cow does this girl make some choices that make you scream "WHAT THE HELL"...lol! There is this awesome moment when you read an author's second book and realize it's better than the first! Well, I experienced that moment reading this. You can see the improvement, and it just makes you so happy.
The last couple of chapters were just brilliant. They kept me on the edge of the seat.
I'm so glad there's no shifting POV anymore. It was all from Lexi's POV and I wasn't constantly confused who is thinking what. Such an improvement!

Well I am done I am also speechless. Imagine that! I will say even the premise of Lex going on this self loathing hell trip was like a kick in the ass. I was like girl, really, go hang out in Brooklyn and we will show you how to do a few things, lie, cheat, and even steal without getting caught! GGGRRR To say I was glue to the Kindle was understated. I am so in love with this one and hell I have a friend (Andi ILY babe @AndreaJo1113 ) that is the epitome of Chyna. There is nothing that can descr...more

This book, much like Avoiding Commitment, made me mad. It was almost uncomfortable to read. So much drama, so much angst. I think because you are reading he past AND the present there is just never a break from it.
I loved Ramsey. I really did, even in book one but even I couldn't trust him after all his lies! Some were small, some were understandable but the big picture is he lies...a LOT. And he's going to be working with Parker? No way buddy! I'm glad they stayed together in...more

I love the ending! Wow! Talk about predicament for Lexi! Didn't see all of that coming! Not to mention the mystery man... who would have thought!
And I want my very own Ramsey! :)
I love Jack in book 1 but I'm all for Ramsey on this one. And for that im grinning like a cheshire cat! :)

Wow!! What can I say this is great book! I love Lexi & Ramsey! We saw her growth & acceptance of her mistakes. She found her true love in Ramsey. Jack of course never changes, however, Lexi stood her ground & didn't let him get to her. I enjoyed Chyna she's fabulous!! The ending was stellar to say the least!! OMG!! It's what a reader craves- drama, drama, drama! Can't wait for the next book!
OMG! WTF!!! So amazing
I'm giving this 5 stars because while reading this book I went through every possible emotion; rage, pity, grief, lust/love, more anger, disappointment and so much more. Anytime an author can make me feel so much that when I've finished their book I'm left exhausted and need to recuperate from reading a story... they've done their job, and very well.
Book one had me pulling my hair out and on an emotional cliff. It took me a full day to remember that it was a book and not m...more

My Thoughts:
Lies….Lies…..And More Lies…… Sums this book up!
K.A. is back with her second book of the Avoiding series. Its chalk full of lies, deceit, angst, passion and intrigue…. Oh and love???
Lexi surprised me! That year away from Jack sure helped her grow up. That was one of the things that bothered me in AC (Avoiding Commitment). She was so damn whiny that it drove me crazy! But in AR, we get to see a more grown up side of her that I rea...more

I went into this book completely unsure of how I wanted it to turn out. I loved Jack and then I hated Jack and then I loved him again and then I hated him again.
I felt such a pull to his character throughout the course of the two books, but then he would do something so unbelievably stupid and selfish and I was back to questioning what I felt about his character. So, I've spent the past two days completely immersed in K.A. Linde's emotionally dysfunctional world of Lexi and Jack, and now that it's over, I'm thinking maybe I need a Doctor to prescribe some Prozac for me!

Sweet Jesus this book was AWEsome! I freaking hated it!! And by hated it, I mean I LOVED it with all my heart and wanted to rip my hair out!!!
Lexi, you might be the dumbest and most infuriating character ever written!!!
Ms. Linde you have done it again!!!

So, let's talk about it shall we. Let's talk about how I was angry the ENTIRE time I was reading. I mean seething! Lexi!!!! You are a total twat, but damn if your milkshake doesn't bring ALL the boys to the yard. What sort of magica...more

Holy Freakin’ Ramsey balls ladies! Let me tell you, after reading Avoiding Responsibility you will be asking yourself, “Jack who?” After reading Avoiding Commitment I was on the fence if I was Team Jack or Team Ramsey. Yes I thought Jack was a total fool for treating Lexi the way he did but I’m a sucker for romances between two people with a long history, plus Jack won me over at the end of AC with his confession about his Grandmother’s ring. So now that I’ve finished Avoiding Responsibility, I need to think about this for a while. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the 1st book, Avoiding Commitment. It evoked so many different emotions. I anticipated the same with this book, but it didn’t have me as much on edge as did the prior book. I kept waiting but I was almost halfway through reading before the fist-clenching angst set in and it only lasted a little while. It didn’t come about again until about 85% finished, and once more for only a brief...more
