I really enjoyed reading this story. It’s kind of like X-Men meets the Avengers. I found Temptress and Thinktank’s romance and adventures to be a fun, fast, action packed read.
Jenny does the occasional job for the police in bringing in super-villains or superheroes to face a court hearings and jail time. With one kiss she can remove any super power from any individual. I had never read about superheros before, certainly not sexy superheroes, so I was excited to pick up Temptress. Jenny Ray, aka Temptress, works for the police as a kind of bounty hunter. She tracks down superheroes who are under arrest, seduces them, steals their powers with a kiss, and brings them in for their trial. Her most recent job doesn’t go quite as planned. There is a lot more plot than the characters can carry in a short novel or long novella. This is a fun read but be prepared for some gaps. If this first published work is developed into a series we may get the details that are missing here. I hope so, because this is a delightful change up on the super hero trope. I see a lot of potential in Ms Dodge’s writing and look forward to reading more of her work. This is a very good book that could be great, so let’s see what she writes next....more
