Book Three in The Elemental Series

Shayna's first surfing session of the summer is interrupted by the screams of a mother who has lost her little boy in the water. Without regard to her own safety, Shayna swims out, rescues the boy, but must escape the clutches of something far worse than she could have ever imagined – mermaids.

Compelled to answer the sirens' call, the boys

Water is the third book in The Elemental Series. Oh man as this series progresses the stories get better and better. I just could not out this book down and at the end I said I needed more!

In Water school is out and the summer is just beginning and the gang is ready to enjoy their summer drama free but evil has another plan for them. While Shayna is getting her surfing lessons on she hears the screams and cries of a mother who is losing her son to the water Shayna jumps right into action and sav

I think these books get better as the series progresses. Shay and her two elemental sidekicks have to unravel a mystery of a strange sickness that has affected a couple young boys in town. Shayna has an encounter with what appear to be mermaids, only more vicious. They must call upon power greater than they ever have before to battle this new threat.

I am glad to see Granger is getting bolder with her stories. This latest installment in the elemental series is the most dark, gritty, graphic, and

This is a 3.5 rating for me.

Shayna and her friends are elemental witches. They use the power of the earth, fire, and air to aid them in working their spells. They are not conventional witches, they can often harness the power without the incantations of normal witches. This book explores the element of water. An element that they do not harness.

Shay is called into action while she is surfing at the beach. A small boy is missing. She helps the mother locate the boy by swimming in the direction th

If you like elemental magic this is the perfect series for you. I have been reading this series from the beginning and it is so consistently good. I love how each book focuses on a different element. At first, I was a little confused because none of the three main characters are a water elemental. But I absolutely loved the plot line for Water. I thought it was super cool how everything was incorporated and it really made me want to read the original little mermaid story. (and don't go jumping t ...more

Shay gets caught up in a fight with some dangerous sea creatures and as always has help from her two very best friends Jodi and Steven who are also teenagers with extraordinary magical powers. Together they must stop the the sea creatures before they drain the sleepy town’s souls one by one.

Definitely my favourite of the series so far. Why? Because it’s about sea creatures. In this case, it’s about water nymphs. Or as everyone knows, thanks to Disney, mermaids. (My favourite Disney movie!) I lov

I received a review copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

It's nearly 5 AM and I've just finished reading the third installment in the Elemental series by Shauna Granger. I have to say that at this point, Water is my favorite of the three I've read thus far.

Like the first two, Water picks up soon after where Air left off; the kids trying to enjoy their summer. Shayna, an avid surfer, encounters a water creature as she rushes to save a little boy. Soon the three are racing against time to save

At the beginning of the story, Shayna saves a boy from the clutches of mermaids, or at least she is guessing they are mermaids. Since she isn't a hundred percent sure, she and her friends do a lot of research. Steven is very afraid of the water, but he tests it out, because he is the only guy in the group. When he steps in the water, he does hear their call. So it seems that the guys are being targeted since the females can't hear it. Two guys from their town come out of the water acting strang ...more

I received this book as part of the YA Bound Book Tour. School has ended and they are all hoping that the excitement has died down enough to enjoy a relaxing summer. While on her first day of surfing Shayna is drawn to the screams of a hysterical mother because she can't find her her son Toby. Shayna heads into the water to search and finds the boy was taken by mermaids, but they aren't your typical mermaids. There are the mermaids of nightmares and Toby said that they called him into the

It was okay. I can't totally a main character who know who she is and is okay with the friends that she has rather be a pointless social climber. Her love interest is not that enticing to me personally so I have trouble seeing why she pines for him.

Got the first book free on Kindle. After reading it I then purchased the next books in the series immediately reading those also. Good books. Look forward to the last book in the series Spirit.

Like so many other writers, Shauna grew up as an avid reader, but it was in high school that she realized she wanted to be a writer. She released the first installment of her Paranormal YA Series, The Elemental Series, Earth, on May 1, 2011 and has since released four sequels, with the series coming to an end with Spirit. In December of 2013 she release the first in her Paranormal Post-Apocalyptic ...more
