So I had a look at what other people have been rating this book at and the majority of what I saw was pretty average. I'm not sure why, but each to their own. I have nothing but high praises for Karen Kelley and this fantastic book!

While this was at present, a departure of sorts for me because I used to read this type of paranormal genre a lot. So I was excited to jump back into sexy fantasy land of Angels and Immortals.
Haley our heroine is tired of her life. She is fat, frumpy, depressed, stood up and sex-starved when she decides to pray for a miracle. And much to her surprise her prays are answered.

This book was one where the story line carried me. I loved the author's one liners and found her humor great.
But I found myself really confused by some of the character reactions. Some of the things the characters did, just didn't ring true, or felt rushed.
However, the story of a hot cowboy half-angel answering a woman's prayer for sex. Bravo on the story aspect.
The author also mixed up a whip and a flogger. Come on editors...seriously. There was a LOT of sex. A lot. Some of it did feel thrown...more

I loved this book. It was definitely an eye opener for me. The whole book is about a girl that has a horrible opinion of herself. Haley sees herself as an overweight, unattractive person with no sex life. She has a job that she loves but her "beautiful" neighbor covets her job and she doesn't see how she is going to keep it. I enjoyed this story. The author had just the right mix of sweet and sensual to keep it romantic and not raunchy. I enjoyed Haley's character transformation, but at times she was irritating. I got a tad annoyed with the “I am so ugly and worthless” song and dance. When it’s made obvious the MC is NOT ugly I do not want to read her bemoaning her ugliness non stop.

I have been sitting here for several minutes having just finished Where There’s A Will, trying to decide how I really feel about it. I read the book in one sitting so that has to count for something. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. I thought there were some really great parts, but there were also parts that I just thought were completely…lacking.

Can't say I really enjoyed this one. The plot line was choppy, that characters weren't developed enough and I hated the ending. Haven't read the other book in the series, so I don't know if that would make a difference. If you're looking for a book with a lot of hot sex, this might be enough for you. Yet if you want a strongly developed romance along with it, this might not fit the bill.
Where do they make people like Haley anymore. I don't think I have seen I heroine that had self esteem so low ever, she was a lot on the needy side. That being said I really enjoyed this book. Seeing her come out of her shell with Ryder was a real treat and it was very hot and steamy along the way.
Sometime when you write in your diary prayers can come true. So, when Ryder heard Haley's prayers who is half mortal and half angel he was able to grant them and Haley prayers came true and she was excited.
There were so many things I just did not like about the book. From the whiny heroine and the complete lack of any connection beyond sexual to the abrupt ending, I was not impressed.
Where There's a Will blurb intrigued me and the cover definitely caught my attention but the story was regrettably just not for me. I found myself continuing to read it in the hope it would get a bit more interesting but it just didn't. I thought the romance fell very flat and the main character Haley who was very insecure about her looks drove me mad. Normally I would really relate to this kind of heroine and would be 100% on her side but honestly, her constant negativity just plain annoyed me....more

She really writes from the heart with touching moments and characters you can come to love.
