Stalk Me by Jillian Dodd was a fun filled, angsty ride. It's a mix between Gossip girl meets Beverly Hills 90210 and I loved it. Keatyn is the type of girl you always wanted to be in high school. She's the popular girl with a closet to die for and a never ending list of suitors after her. Jillian did an amazing job of writing some good teenage angst with a twist. I found myself devouring this book and fully invested in what K...more

Jillian Dodd still has my socks!

She knocked them off with That Boy & That Wedding and has decided not to give them back! I was a little worried before jumping in. I mean what if she comes down with a big case of suck!? It could happen!! It. Did. Not. Happen. Now Jillian Dodd has my socks and my knickers!

This book blew a fresh breath of different in all the right places. It was totally not what I expected! Speaking of...if you're expecting Stalk Me to be exactly like That Boy & That Wedd...more

Updated review on April 3. This is more a review of the first book given that I've loved the second book.

"The Keatyn Chronicles are similar to a television series. The books do not stand alone and the second books begins the same night book one ends."

There are too many delicious guys in this series. Big swoon alert!

I love this series! I only reread the last 20 percent because it is in the next book things get super good! We have six books in this series, so this book sets the stage. You have to...more

Worst.book ever. And here is why.

Review with Spoilers

Let me just start by saying that I am so utterly pissed about this book. My reason to feel so has nothing to do with the fact that the main character wasn't very likeable. I mean, she is the daughter of Hollywood royalty, she is part of the popular girls, she is acts like a bitch then feels bad because she is acting like a bitch and want to change her ways, unfortunately is too weak to do so. I could deal with that. I could even deal with the...more

If you want a light read, try this!

This book has the ingredients for an exciting next read: catchy title, totally hot, swoon-worthy boys and a filthy, rich heroine who seriously needs to make up her mind.

TEAM CUSH all the way!!!

Halfway through the novel, I kept thinking, Keatyn can't keep bouncing from one guy to another. It was a frustrating read for me.

Even before everything was spelled out for the heroine, I already knew two things. (view spoiler)[ That Sander was gay and Brooklyn did not rea...more

Gossip Girl meets Mean Girls with the setting in Malibu. I loved it and all its glamour, money, cars, killer clothes, popular crowd's antics and the fickleness of the teenage relationships-"in and out of love" before they could get their tongues out of each other's mouths.

This was a mature Young Adult romance because of the sexual...more

Did I just read the same book as everyone else?

My rating for this book: 1 STAR (& only because I really liked Cush).

My main gripe with the story was Keatyn. She was wholly unlikable, and I could not relate to, or connect with her. I didn’t want to, either. She was a stuck-up, immature, spoiled ass brat that could not keep her hormones in check, and an attention seeking, flip-flopping, wishy-washy, people pleaser. To state that she pissed me off, would be a huge understatement.

Her so-called...more

Stalk Me was not quite what I expected but in a good way! It has the same great writing style Dodd showcased in That Boy and That Wedding but with a much edgier storyline that will appeal to mature young adults and adults. There are sooo many HOT, I mean HOT, boys in this book that I feel like I just got back from a trip to Swoonville and I will take that trip as many times as Jillian Dodd grants me a ticket!

I feel like I’ve lost a few brain cells. This book hurt to read. I was super excited to read this series. It’s no secret that I LOVED the That Boy series. But after reading this and looking back at That Boy, I think I was blinded by my pure love of Phillip and Danny that I just overlooked so many things. Unfortunately, for me, there were no likeable characters in Stalk Me, so there was nothing to hide behind. There will be spoilers in here, you have been warned.

Jillian Dodd, you just might be my new BFF. And that’s real talk! I was looking forward to reading Stalk Me ever since the cover reveal, and you had me hook, line, and nostalgic sinker from page one! Now…I’m going to be honest. I haven’t read That Boy or That Wedding yet. HOLD ON…CEASE FIRE!! I have both of them downloaded on my Nook, but I also have about 30 other books downloaded that I haven’t read yet either. After finishing Stalk Me, I have b...more

TEAM AIDEN!!!! Okay, I am not going to lie...I switched teams a lot during this book. But I would have to say that at the end of Stalk Me, I was Team Aiden! I started out Team Brooklyn....then became Team Cush.....but fell in love with Aiden. :) Needless to say, there is no shortage of HOT guys in this book. I really enjoyed the whole premise of the book. I think I am especially going to like Keatyn's life at boarding school. I was quite sad when this book ended...and the two bonus chapters from...more

I read a lot of the reviews and thought, I could read this book. I then saw the author lowered the price and thought, WOW, I should really read this book. Then I downloaded a sample and decided to buy the book.

Boys! I mean, lots and lots of boys. Cute boys, sweet boys, creepy boys, hot boys, experience boys....I cannot think of a type of boy that was not involved in this book. I mean, come on, who doesn't want to read about boys?

The book was very good. After finishing this book, I felt like I r...more

Boys, Boys and more Boys, and I couldn't ask for anything more ;) My brain is still recovering and may go into hibernation trying to decide who is " the one" for Keatyn, who talks to the moon wishing for her? I have a soft spot for my Cush man, but Aiden has certainly got my attention. Really looking forward to book two called Kiss Me, which I believe comes out in December. Definitely a MUST READ!

This was a very cute and light and funny read. I loved getting to know Cush and Brooklyn and even see Vanessa brought down a rung.

I loved her struggle with getting to know herself and how she tried to put all her pieces of who she was together to form herself - who she was with Brooklyn, Sander, Cush and others.

The story was great...until her birthday party. I was even good with the party, what happened - and how she seemed to work out where she wanted to be at the end.

But everything after that...more

Stalk Me

I have been marinating over this review for hours and even after all that time the only thing I can say is I’m totally Team Cush! I love Cush to death he might have actually been my favorite character in this book possibly even more than Keatyn. I think I’m having trouble because I really enjoyed the style of writing in this book and I really liked the characters, except for Brooklyn, but at the same time there were several things that I didn’t like.

The premise of the story is great and...more

IF ONLY THE BOYS IN KEATYN’S LIFE WOULD FOLLOW HER SCRIPT!

Keatyn is a daughter of a famous movie star and dreams of having a real high school experience. “I wanted to live out one big high school musical”. She has established herself as a popular girl, dating the popular boy all the while sitting at the popular table. Truth is she hates her girlfriends and her boyfriend is kind of a dud.

“Where is my perfect boy?”

I tried to love this book, to the point of 5 stars, I really did, but there was just something about it that annoyed me. I've read That Boy and That Wedding, and I loved them. I love Jillian Dodd's unique writing style.
In the That Boy series, she made me fall in love with the characters and fall into their world. But something in Stalk Me prevented me for doing that; though I'm not really sure what it was. I really do wish that I liked this book a whole lot more, but I still enjoyed it nonethele...more

So, I'm going to rip the band-aid off quick and say, through the first half of the book, I didn't like it. I guess, because it's me, and some writing styles don't hold me into a book. But, that wasn't going to just let me give up, so I continued reading and eventually got used to the writing style that Jillian was presenting. With that said, I will say, the story was very entertaining.

There's drama, love (I think), one night stands,...more

Holy shizz…Stalk Me was totally unexpected! I knew this was YA novel (definitely a mature YA) but did not expect to be so drawn to the story. I could not put it down. Oh to be fly on the wall of Jillian Dodd’s mind. There are no lulls in this book–at all. This book goes from zero to hot sexy and bold right from the first pages!Keaton is the 16-year-old daughter of a famous actress. Her step dad is equally in the spotlight too. I think I am in the minority here.

What did I like about this book? Cush! Loved him. The End.

What did I not like about this book, well how about the 16 year girl who has multiple bed partners within days of each other. The fact that we had one too many guys (at least 4 or 5) involved almost making our girl look really slutty. But the major thing that pissed me off, the drugs and drinking every other page. AND her mother was ok with all this (yes her mother knew all about it)?! If I had to read...more

I am completely surprised. I really was not expecting to like this book. I know, I know, don't judge a book by its cover, but the model on the front just looks like a spoiled teenage brat.

Oh wait, she is.

BUT! She's not really all that annoying. She reminds me a bit of Cher from Clueless ; a high-maintenance, rich bitch popular girl but with good intentions. You kinda can't help but root for her. If I were the target age for this book, I would be more than a little obsessed with it, I'm sure. Th...more

When I started the book I thought that I would like it. It seemed cute and fun. It started well and I was okay when we had only three guys(I think!) in the picture.

I liked Cush the most. He was super cute and adorable, but for no rhyme or reason he does something that is completely unlike his character and royally screws up. So, Keatyn breaks up with him and the book starts to go downhill from here.

The MC Keatyn is shallow and jumps from one guy to next and apparently she loves all of them. hu...more

This was really a great, fun, fun read. I've read That Boy and loved it but Stalk Me is way better I think. It's much sexier and funnier. Totally hooks you up. Keatyn is a very likeable character. Most of the times. Well, she can be frustrating and makes bad decisions but that's what makes her story fun. She is nice but tends to be bitchy sometimes. Well, that happens when you're surrounded by girls like Vanessa (Loved Vanessa when she "destroyed" Mandy. Haha, that was funny. And mean.)...more

Jillian Dodd, you just might be our new "BFF" - and that’s real talk! We've been looking forward to reading "Stalk Me" ever since your cover reveal, and you had us hook, line, and highschool-nostalgic sinker, from page one!

Ok. Not my favorite book, but still entertaining. This book is about Keatyn, 16 years old, and falling in love with many different boys, and having fun. She has a famous movie star mom, who has a creepy stalker, who Surprise! has decided to switch to Keatyn. You see who the stalker will be from a mile away. My favorite part of the book was the last quarter, and it involves a boarding school with lots of flirty boys. I did like that she has many dating options throughout the book since she is onl...more

I was a fan of Jillian Dodd. I wanted to like this book. But it was just too hard. Mostly it just made me go "ick". I do applaud Ms. Dodd for a book that oozes slutty but with minimum promiscuity. It's a talent. It's not just the sexual content, it's the overall plot or lack of one. It sort of just slip slides all over the place and doesn't go ANYWHERE. Like seriously. You think Keatyn's going to learn some big lesson, but nope. She's right back where she started, if not worse.

Verdict: This is...more
