This was a phenomenal book! I'm sure I'm not alone in wondering what happens after we die. Is there another life in some other place, are we reincarnated, or is everything we've each believed in and been taught a big hoax and there is nothing after this life?

I really enjoyed this book, it picks up on the same information Brian Weiss wrote about in his other book Many lives, Many masters which I also enjoyed. I will be reading that book again and commenting on it as soon as I am finished I enjoy reading about past lives and I especially enjoy reading about past life regression therapy. Yea, we have all heard this cliche phrase oh-so-often that now our ears bleed to the sound of it - "This book changed my life"... well, I thought i would never be able to say that, until i read this one... This book changed everything! This was mostly about Platonic love; more about the soul than about love per se. The description of soul was very similar to what is written in the Bhagwad Gita. The soul as a driver of our ever-rusting body. Almost everything that was written about souls and body and past and present lives was exactly what is written in Gita and so I didn't really get the 'revelation' that I read in the reviews.

Very nice and easy read book. Some of the messages Dr Weiss put in the book are profound and must read. Along with the love story which Dr. Weiss described, he added other incidents and other messages in the book. Also, so many great souls talked about reincarnation (from the collected quotes before each chapter). A brilliant book that has cemented my own beliefs about souls and reincarnation, Only Love is Real isn't just the story of soulmates and love being the only thing that truly matters in the end. The book is a clarion call for everyone living in fear. Very well written account of two patients who discover they have lived before and how their psychotherapist tries to get them together once he realizes they are actually soulmates. This book simply confirms what I already suspected about souls and what happens when we leave our bodies and go on to the afterlife. This is a fascinating account of two people who experienced a past lifetime together. Each had recalled memories of the same scenario from that past lifetime, and were reunited through the psychologist who had been working with regressions for each person, on a separate basis.
Once I picked this up, I couldn't put it down. It was an amazing account without being too mushing or over-dramatic.

As always Brian Weiss' books aren't a mere report of his experiences with his patients but a soothing journey into our ancient fears and the power of our minds. In this book he tells us that each of us is connected to a special soul that we meet again and again in our different lives. Kindred spirits do exist and return in the shape of a love mate or a relative or a best friend, to be forever connected to you through time and space.
This book is often advertised for significant other relationships, but it is about much more than that. It also focuses on a mother and daughter and two brothers, also soulmates. Soulmates are much more than significant others and their relationships are just as meaningful and deeply felt. This book goes a long way in showing that. I'm overwhelmed and mystified after reading this. Although skeptical about lot of things related in the book, the romantic in me enjoyed the read. Some of the ideas were gooseflesh inducing. There were several instances that contradicted the theory or reasoning of 're-incarnation' and 'God'. There are simple truths to be learned or be reminded of. therefore I will recommend the book for anyone interested.

This book is best described as an intriguing and well written, edge of your seat illustration of a true story. As you peruse through each paragraph you'll be gasping for more and become very much a part of the story by visualizing the events as they occur. The hypnotic sessions that the characters endure will capture every fiber of your being. The skeptics will undoubtedly become believers.

Brian Weiss recounts with grace and purpose the magical experiences he's had through Past Life Therapy in this book.
