Cute and sweet, with just a touch of steam, this book is good for a light summer read. I’m a big fan of the “pretend fiance” trope in romance, but it’s rare indeed that the female is the one helping out

Oh my! I don’t where to start. I’m actually really tempted to just spill all the magnificence His Secret Temptation was, but I’ll take it easy, for all of our sake’s.

His Secret Temptation starts rather great. If I’m being completely honest I loved the beginning more than anything else. There’s nothing like arriving home to find a gorgeous blonde woman sleeping in your bed, is there Simon? Or that’s what I would think if I were a boy, but I’m not. Whatever. I get you, Simon, no worries. So that’s
A 5 stars read !!' Another pretend engagement story but this one is a fun & sweet read. H/ h are very likeable, caroline is a hard-working law student, Simon is a fun- loving kind of hero w/ a wry sense of humor & a big grin. The attraction between them sizzled from the start, and the romance developped beautifuly. I also liked Simon s family, which added a lot to the book. their interactions kept me smiling till the very end.

Sometimes, all a girl wants is a sweet romance without too much heartache before the big finale - and that's exactly what Cat Schield gives readers in HIS SECRET TEMPTATION. Billionaire Simon Holcroft comes home from a business trip and all he wants to do is crash on his bed, maybe sleep for hours on end. The only problem is that, in true Goldilocks form, there's already someone there - a young, beautiful blonde. It takes a few minutes but S
His secret Temptation Book review

Sizzling with temptation and tempered with the kind of wrongness that can only feel right Shield weaves a story that leaves you breathless.
Caroline is the kind of woman who is strong, having suffered greatly she believes everything with a mountain of salt. Up to her eyeballs in debt and worked to the bone how can she refuse when the great man that is Simon Holcroft heir to millions ensnares her in his lies.

His Secret Temptation is a sweet, romantic read with a common premise that has a unique twist. Simon returns home from a business trip to find his maid sleeping in his bed. Simon and Caroline have been exchanging flirty notes ever since she started working for him. They've never run into each other in person so Simon was surprised to see that his maid was so sexy. Caroline is a law student who is juggling school and work. When she wakes up to find her employer staring down at her, she is mortifi ...more
First of all, the cover of this book has nothing to do with how I imagine the characters, or at least the heroine.

But, back to the main topic. This was a pleasant surprise of a book. I received a copy from netgalley and hoped to read and prepare a decent review in time...but I took a long time to get down to reading it. Anyway, now that I am done, I can say that I am impressed.

The whole theme of a rich guy hiring a poor girl to pose as his fiancee for his family, is mostly bland by overuse in t
His Secret Temptation was fun to read. Thier were a few love scenes that I skipped over.
Simon Holcroft comes home from a business trip and fines a strange beautiful women asleep is his bed. He was feeling refreshed just looking at her. He realized it was his house cleaner that they have been exchanging funny notes with for the past 6 months.
Caroline Sampsen did not mean to fall asleep but she had been up studing for her law class. She is one semester away from finishing but she owes money and ti

Yet another book that isn't very long at all, but filled with so much that leaves you feeling that the story was about six hundred pages.

It doesn't drag on, nor was it very slow. It was one thing after another. Caroline is a very strong female character that has dealt with a lot and is only trying to finish law school. When Simon makes her an offer she can't resist, her life totally turns upside down, but for the better. Of course she doesn't see it immediately, but Simon was exactly what Caroli

When I requested this book I was in the mood for a sweet contemporary romance, something that I could read quickly and enjoy. This definitely had a category feel to it, and I for one adored the story.

Simon comes home after traveling and finds a sexy woman stretched out on his bed. When his brothers fiance comes barging in his house and puts the moves on him, he tells her that Caroline, the sexy maid who was upstairs asleep, i

This book tells a simple story of Simon who in order to avoid the unnecessary flirtation from Francine, who is the fiancee of his brother, cooked up a story of his engagement with Caroline whom he has only meet up earlier. Caroline, who is an orphan after the death of her mother, found herself to be attracted to the warmth and friendly family of Simon when she went to spend the christmas season with Simon's family. The lies that was being told to all is getting bigger each day and Caroline does ...more

I liked this story. It's fast paced. Even though it's short and I would've wanted it to have more pages in it.. it was just too nice for me to give less than 5 stars.

Simon and Caroline made a deal that they would act as if they were engaged for the holiday season. There already was already some chemistry between them before the trip and it just escalated when they were at Simon's ancestral house. Simon's family were... hmmm... How should I say it? Busy? Preoccupied? They had so many th

This book had a predictable premise but started out with a unique twist. The whole opening scene sets the theme for the entire book. I really wasn't sure what to expect other than a solid storyline.

The characters were vivid as they developed. They should vulnerability and moral struggles throughout the story. There were a few too many characters for a contemporary romance in my opinion.

The relationship between Simon and Caroline developed slow and steady. They sank into their romance and you wer

His Secret Temptation is a lighting fast read that packs a punch. The emotion throughout this sweet romance will bounce of the pages. It is interesting to watch Fate’s crafty design in pulling these two people together. The hoax of a maid finding herself in an elaborate plan pretending to be a millionaire fiancé. Although, deception offers a negative twist to the story; it is an honorable decision when paired with the talon hooks is brothers finance is trying to stick in him. I was more than wi ...more
This story loses a whole star because the bitchy ex-girlfriend doesn't show up at Christmas and get put in her place. Otherwise, I liked it.
I've read a lot of romance novels, and I really love ones in which the two main characters are thrown into a situation where they are forced to be together for a period of time. A great way to build the tension. This book has just that type of plot. A misunderstanding leads to a 2-week trip posing as a newly engaged couple. Tension mounts into a somewhat predictable, but satisfying finish. 3/5 stars.

A book that you just wanna read in one sitting, like i did :)
I do have to say that the cover doesn't do this book justice! This one shows us that it's really true what they always say about 'Dont judge a book by it's cover'

Simon & Caroline are just sooooo cute together, and from the very frst pages you wanna keep your fingers crossed that everything is just gonna work out great BUT there are unfortunatly a few bumbs in the road to real love..

This book was everything a short and sweet romance novel should be. Caroline and Simon dont instantly meet and become other people. No, they get to know each other and slowly temper one another, smoothing out the rough edges and enhancing the qualities they didnt even know they had.

The plot's basically the same with all the "pretend bf/gf/fiance/fiancee, then fall in love in the process" books out there. Enjoyable, yet quite predictable.
Loved this book! Was such a sweet story but left you wanting more. Ending seemed rushed. Would love to see Dane get his story told also.
