The books start out with Madi and Zach’s “reunion” after three years of being apart. And oh my, what a reunion it is. "Wicked Allure" by Leslie C. Ferdinand is definitely an adult book...I think the cover kind of gives that one away though ;) This is an Erotica-Romance story full of drama - Intimate relationship drama, as well as family drama. Overall, I think that it was a good read and would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. In my way of rating books, 3 stars means that I liked it and would check out this author in the future.

"Wicked Allure" by Leslie C. Overall, I think that it was a good read and would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. In my way of rating books, 3 stars means that I liked it and would check out this author in the future.

I am not exactly going to write out any spoilers, or at least I don't intend to. I just am going to give you a quick look into the idea of this book.

Zachary Steele has a history of drug abuse and a reputation as a womanizer. Madigan Deleon is a celebutante of a very wealthy business family. They were in a relationship and in love. Zach didn't think he was good enough for Madi and didn't want to corrupt her. After a nasty breakup they were separated for three years before being reunited after Madi's mother's birthday party. Problem is, the first time they saw each other they had some very intense sex, but they both thought that it was a hallucination. Drug-induced hallucination for Zach, and Alcohol-induced hallucination for Madi. Madi's sisters both knew the truth about that night but thought it was better for Madi if she thought that it was a dream. Then, Madi's mother tricks her into thinking they are going to work out their troubled relationship but really she just has another trick up her sleeve. Madi ends up having to work with Zach and their old relationship of highs and lows spark right back up - they continue their routine of intense arguments and heated sex. How long will their relationship last this time? Will Zach finally commit to Madi? Will Madi open her heart back up to Zach? Will their love for each other conquer over all past mistakes? I liked the relationships in this novel and how we got to know people who were not the main characters. I enjoyed the scenes with Madi's sisters, and the relationships between them and Madi. Zachary was also a favorite character. I found myself routing for him throughout the book because I knew that he really did love Madi. He wanted what was best for her and he didn't think it was him, even though he wanted it to be. Karolyn, Madi's mother, I absolutely couldn't stand. She was basically evil-incarnate in this story. Lastly, Madi was a great character. She fell in love, had her heart broken, and was reunited with that love. Then, she realizes that she never stopped loving Zach, but she has to make the decision as to whether or not she can give him another chance. (less)

Wow ... This is the best erotica romance I have read so far ... Very, very well written, plot, drama, characters, very smart built in ... Sex scenes very hot and not so many (Thanks God !) so it keeps the reader wanting for more ... more story, more sex, more drama. I received this for a review.....I honestly loved it! The characters were amazing to me. I like that a book has some drama in it. This one certainly did. So first of all I would Like to say that I got this book from a goodreads Giveaway. This is the first book I have won, and I am very excited to read and review it.

So I guess I will start with the cover, since it is the first thing you see when it comes to books. It is very eye catching because it clearly screams 'sex'. It caught my attention, for sure. I mean, who wouldn't be intrigued by a naked lady. But because of this cover, I found it very hard to find time to read it. It is not the type of book you can just read anywhere, because of the cover. I like to read in front of the fireplace, and lose myself in a book while the kids run about or while my parents have their own little conversation. Yet I couldn't do this with this book, because, well It's not a good idea to read a book with a naked lady as the cover in front of children or adults for that matter. So This disappointed me a little. Because of this, It took me a very long time to read this book, which was a one day read, but because of the cover. I only found time to read it before bed, and being tired, i could only manage a couple of pages a night. It would have been help full if the cover had been a little bit more subtle, not that I am complaining. I like the cover, its sexy and eye catching.

Next topic, the characters. I feel that the characters had a very real feel to them. Their feelings raw, I could most definitely relate to them. The pain of betrayal caused by nothing more than the hope of love and romance. Without having gone through these experiences yourself, you find yourself relating to the characters, losing yourself in them, as if they were to be your own. I can almost see through the eyes of every character,even the mother and father. Even though there emotions were being viewed through a sort of thick veil. To be able to do this through words, is a very unique talent, that only some writers can bring to their writing.

The relationships in wicked Allure were very realistic and natural, which was what I loved most about this book. You see how a relationship develops. You see how things go from 'him','her' and 'his'; to 'us', 'we' and 'our'. When a relationship is stuck at the me stage, it isn't going to get very far. You learn this in Wicked Allure, you understand it. Another thing I adored about Wicked Allure was the ending. I love it when things are kept realistic and not picture perfect, Wicked Allure gave me just that. It showed that ever happy ending comes with a downside, a very real consequence. Thus no longer a picture perfect love story. When relationships are involved, the puzzle never really fits together. You have to accept it for what it is. I would alas say more, but I don't want to spoil anything. So I would like to move onto another let down. I was intrigued by one of the characters and would have liked to know what was to happen with that particular character. I would have liked to know more, but I am hoping that this just means that there will be another installment of Wicked Allure. Which will undoubtedly be a very good thing.

Over all, I was impressed with this book, and I would recommend it to anyone that has a taste for sex, drama and a tid bit of romance.

But with erotica, you don't always know what you're going to get from an author you're unfamiliar with, whether it will be something really good – a love story, for instance, or something really crappy – a bunch of sex scenes cobbled together with a little narrative. So I was happy to discover a story about desperate love, denial of feelings, and determination to stay away from the other. .

The book opens with a lengthy, fairly hot, but slightly bizarre sex scene between Zach and Madi, which ends with them going their separate ways, neither really remembering that night and both thinking it was a drug (Zach) or alcohol (Madi) induced dream.

Three years prior, Zach and Madi had been in a hot and heavy relationship. Madi was young and very in love with Zach, wanting to settle down with him and start a family. But Zach had no desire to travel down that road, and when Madi walked in on him with another woman in his bed, she fled from him and her family and started life over in a new city. Now Madi's mother, who is also Zach's business partner, has conspired to bring her home and manipulated her into running the company's newest acquisition with Zach, a spa/sex club.

I'm pleased to tell you that Madi and Zach are two incredibly tortured souls, who we, the reader, get to know really well. Madi's whole family is dysfunctional, and her mother has never forgiven her for siding with her father in their divorce. The girls have grown up in the public eye. They're celebutantes, but not your typical spoiled little rich girls. When Madi and her sister find themselves having to buy groceries they don't even know where to start:

“Where do we begin, Madi?” Brianna's hesitant voice snapped her back to the present.
“I don't know. I-I think you go in alphabetical order.”

While this is Madi's story, her two sisters are important characters as well. The girls love each other, but they also fight and squabble amongst themselves. And since they have the Mother From Hell, it's no wonder they're all a little damaged. Karolyn's treatment of her daughters sometimes made me cringe, and I was glad when she left town and stayed away for awhile, though her influence was still strongly felt. .

Zach lost his mother as a teen, and his father crumpled under his grief and left his sons emotionally abandoned. Zach is a strong and charismatic man. He has a lot of failings, and he treated Madi pretty bad three years ago, but you can't help but be drawn to him. Sometimes I would think how in the world can Madi get past his actions. Then I would remind myself that drugs and alcohol affected his behavior, and he's trying to be a better man now. Yet despite that, at the core he hasn't changed, he still doesn't want that settle down and start a family life. It was a struggle to decide how I really felt about him. On one page I adored him, and then suddenly I wanted to smack him. We also meet his brother, Dakota, who's come back to town and is staying with Zach. Some of the scenes with the two brothers talking were my favorite, and it was very satisfying to see how their relationship slowly evolved.

I was once asked if I prefer novels that are plot driven or character driven. For me it's characters, first and foremost. A book can have absolutely no plot at all, but if the characters are well written it doesn’t matter. The characters in Wicked Allure fit that description. From the beginning, the authors put us inside both Madi's and Zach's heads, and by the end I was very emotionally invested in their story. Zach, particularly, burrowed into my heart as he grew and matured and redeemed himself and learned what's really important in life.

My only problem with the book was in the editing. There were a lot of small instances of the wrong spelling of a word being used, or a comma where I didn't think one was appropriate. Not anything major, but enough to be a little irritating.

While the back cover copy describes the book as multicultural, that essence of the story was matter of fact rather than drummed in, as it should be in real life.

To sum up, the authors have created a powerful story and vivid characters with an HEA that was a long time coming and extremely satisfying.

Oh, yeah, the sex – this is erotica after all! There's plenty of it, and it's good. But honestly, I don't think I would have really noticed if some or even most of it had been deleted. The rest of the book was that good. (less)

Besides controlling her daughters, she also took controlling interest in Zach’s company.

And then Karolyn springs a surprise on Madi. This leaves Madi questioning what she should do. Even her sisters get involved in her life. I guess I should be grateful that I only have brothers. They wouldn’t dare sticking their noses in where they don’t belong. Karolyn also likes to torture those around her.

Leslie and Shirley do a great job of creating Karolyn’s character – she’s pure evil on two legs. They also make Madi sound like pure sex in stiletto knee-high boots. Karolyn seems to be the puppeteer and she holds all the strings. I can definitely say that she is one of my least favorite characters. But isn’t that what Leslie and Shirley want? It means you are involved in what is going on in the book.

One reoccurring theme is the past between Zach and Madi. I understand it made them who they are now but I have to wonder how many times it will keep coming up. Do we really need to hear about it over and over? That was my only negative thing about the whole story. Although that is also what brings them back together.

We then find out how the book got its title. If our writing team ever decide to make this the start of a series, I hope we will hear more about the business that Madi and Zach start. I’d love to know more about what people do there.

I found it funny that while reading a scene where Zach is at the business, the song “The Cheater” http://youtu.be/zToZZOTmeXo sung by Bob Kuban came on. It was then followed up by “Tears on my pillow” http://youtu.be/8HXugnXK8Js by Little Anthony and the Imperials. It couldn’t have been planned any better.

At the beginning of this story, upon meeting Zach’s brother Dakota I didn’t think he was all that smart. But then there is a point where the two of them have a serious discussion and he gives Zach some very sound advice – I was very impressed. And I can say the same about this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the love story of Zach and Madi. And I was also impressed that our mother and daughter writing team didn’t change the mother character. She was a bitch at the beginning of the story and she was that same at the end. Bravo ladies!

This may have some explicit language in it but not enough to offend anyone. And the sex scenes – hot! You now have a choice to make. Which would you prefer, paperback or e-book copy - tough choice.

It brought tears to my eyes several times, but this is an outstanding book and the emotional consequences should not deter you from reading this book. Unfortunately fear causes people to do stupid things. Madi walked in on what she thought was Zach getting ready to have sex with another woman. She was absolutely crushed. She turned away from him and left to start her life as far away from him and her family as possible. Madi could never fathom that a bigger game was at play. So when her mom calls her three years later for her come home, Madi still has extreme reservations. Her mother pulls out the big guns and waves the possibility of becoming a stock-holder in her dads company IF she runs a business her mother recently acquired. Little did Madi know that her partner in this venture would be Zach and the business was a sex club.

Zach cared little about things in life. Since he had chased Madi away three years ago, all that was left for him was work. He struggled to bring his father's company back up to the top and made a lot of bad business decisions. He ended up working for Madi's mother, which is one of the worst case scenarios in his life. No one is more shocked than Zach when Madi comes strutting in the door for a stock-holders meeting. Maybe, just Maybe he could convince her to hear him out. And maybe hell would freeze over too...lol.

Madi and Zach are two pawns in a much bigger game. They almost realize it too late and many people have to fill in the gaps for them to figure out what is truly going on. The characters are all very unique and have memorable characteristics. I truly think Madi and Zach are my favorites. Zach begins changing the moment Madi walks back into his life and you literally get to watch his growth as he works through his own realizations. Zach has always been more than he seems, but Madi was one of the few people to ever see him for himself. Can he reclaim that faith? Can Madi forgive Zach and learn to trust in him? This book was truly amazing and I enjoyed it immensely!!!

What to say about Ms. Ferdinand's book? Well first of all, let me advise you have a hanky available. The story is a whirl wind of emotions as Madi deals not only with her unrequited love for Zach but also her extremely dysfunctional family. Over all I'd give this book a four and half out of five stars. It had a great plot, where we watch, wait and hope that love will conquer all.

How can you describe a man like Zach Steele or his woman, Madigan De Leon? How about with the word HOT. This is the first I have read from this author and have to say very good. Yes there were parts that seemed a little confusing but overall it got to the point which is them getting back their love.

Zach Steele has been hitting his head on a wall for the last three years for messing up the only real, stable and loving relationship he ever had. He knew as soon as she left he was going to mess up and boy did he ever. His mother would be disappointed in him but none worse like Madigan. She was his everything and when love came around he got scared. Zach knew the stuff he has done lately, womanizing and drugs is not the type of man his mother would have wanted him to be or his father. Everything of course changed when Madigan left and the pain in his heart has not stopped to heal except for one night. One night that he seemed like his ultimate fantasy with his Madigan that sometimes he still remembers the whole thing in quite detail. The thing is that something about that dream seemed so real. Was it a dream? Or his second chance that he messed up again? He knows he’s not good enough for Madigan but a life without is just too much for him. She is like personal drug addicting, loving, and sensuous and he will do anything he can to get her back in his life.

Madigan De Leon is known as the wild one of the three De Leon Girls. In a way she knew that a man like Zach Steele will never be able to tame her yet something about him made her mature in a way she never expected. Zach throwing her and their love away three years ago was too much for her. Yet through all the pain there is one night that stands out. It felt so real from his passionate lovemaking, his caresses and most of all him declaring his undying love too her. She knows it was a dream but something about it just felt so real that working with him now seems hard to accomplish. He says he can’t live without her anymore but the stories of his womanizing and drugs are just too much to take for her. Can she trust Zach with her whole heart again after seeing him with another woman? Can she ever feel loved again and cherished?

Sex, drugs, an evil mother willing to do anything to keep them apart and two sisters willing to do anything to get them together is just the small part of this book. Leslie C. Ferdinand did a beautiful job in showing so much heartache, passion, betrayal and sex in this book I didn’t know whether I liked Zach, Madigan, Dakota or the evil mother. Everybody had a part in this book to the point where they could have been the main characters instead of just Zach and Madigan. The sad part was that everybody seemed to have a story in this book that I wanted to know more about them for instance Dakota and his past, Briana and her lost love and even Kelly. I loved it and seriously hope there is a book two coming or something from this talented author. Leslie C. Ferdinand is definitely one to keep a look out for from this mother/daughter author.(less)

I chose this quote to sum up the book:
."you could drive a saint to violence, you know that Madigan? You refuse to believe he still loves you. You refuse to officially reconcile with him. You refuse to tell him you love him. He has every right to sleep with whomever he wants"

Now I'm no saint but shit this aggravated me. I know, I know it's a common theme for nice girls to fall for man whores and have doubts, but shit this lasted throughout the entire book, it was like a broken record. So flipping...more I chose this quote to sum up the book:

For the most part it was a good idea. Good looking alpha Male man whore. Then you have a spoiled rich girl (Paris Hilton type) but apparently she's "innocent" or was. They have a romance, man whore acts like a man whore, innocent girl flees. This was the back story.

So present time, book starts with a bang. Hot sex drug induced scene (not that I'm promoting drugs cause I'm so not) which both parties can't remember or think it was a fantasy. To have a fantasy like that.....lol

So here's where it gets weird. Mommy dearest who has a heart of stone, who also wants hot man whore tricks Madi into coming back to town to work with Zach (said man whore) to , get this, open a sex club together. Thinking this would keep them apart for good. Yeah that's a brilliant idea put 2 people who had an awesome sex life together to work in a sex club, yeah that won't stir up past feelings. But I guess said man whore can act like a man whore in this situation. (right Jesse Ward from This Man) and piss off innocent girl.

Sum it up. Premise of story good. Heroine, annoying as shit (refer to opening quote). Man whore: rich good looking, good in bed (whats not to like), well except he likes all "beautiful women" . But the story didn't flow like I had hoped. The dialogue lacked and it was confusing at times who was actually talking. It was kind of choppy. Because of this I had a hard time connecting to the characters and story as I had hoped.

This is not a book I would have ever chosen to read, not because of the sex or anything like that, but I'm personally completely uninterested in books that have any sort of drug use what so ever. I liked the bitterness between the mother/daughter and the jealousy that Madi's mom has for her. It isn't something that you normally see in mainstream books, and I found it really interesting.

I did find that the more I read the more I liked Madi, however, I got really frustrated with her immaturity and had to remind myself that she's only 24 in the book and how completely devastating every single little thing is to someone that age. Even though she's supposed to be this super amazingly beautiful woman she really displayed a ton of insecurities. Maybe that's just something the author wanted to convey, that despite beauty and business success there are still women who are insecure. I wanted to tell her to get herself a little backbone, and go whip that b*&%$#@ a**! I would have loved to have seen more of her as a business woman outside of just her interactions with Zach.

(SPOILER ALERT)
I thought Madi was a total b*$ though when she was trying to leave with Kyle, talk about a serious double standard, and I was cheering Zach on when he walked out in just a towel. I wanted to give him a high five.

The premise of the sex club was something that I found really weird. One because I had a hard time imagining a mother ever putting her daughter in that situation, even with the reveal that Madi's mom is super jealous of her.

The explanation of how the "employees" would be paid and not have Wicked Allure investigated as a pay for play sex establishment could have been more clear. If someone had extensive knowledge in this area this bit would be a little too hard to believe. This kind of book will attract people who are in or know about that type of business, so that for me needed to be a little clearer. The other part about that was the way it was considered mainstream. Now don't get me wrong, I liked that it was in there, and I liked the spin the author put on it, however, that part of the plot could have used a bit more fleshing out for me. I liked the party scene, and I personally would have wanted to be a fly on the wall there.

Overall I think it's a very good book, and I think it definitely is a read that someone could seriously enjoy, the sex was great, and I really started to like the main characters more as the book progressed, whereas before I really didn't care too much I started really caring more towards the middle of the book and got to like the characters a lot more.

I can see people definitely going two totally different directions with this book. They either love it or hate it. I'd rate it 4.5 stars because I really do think it has appeal and definitely its niche in the market. For me it is just not my type of read, but for those looking for a steamy book like this I think it will hit it out of the ballpark for them. I wanted to give the author a review that was more than OMG read this book.

If you're african american, or you really enjoy books that have an interracial feel to them then Wicked Allure is for you. If you're looking for an easy read with characters that grow on you then I recommend this book.

Anyways just my two cents. I'm way more of a historical romance or mystery/thriller type of girl. (less)
