Awakening, the second in The Stream series, is as much of a joy to read as Bill's first book Discovery. Instantly I was sucked into Charlie and Robin’s world. By playing in the world of dreams Bill is able to let his imagination and creativity sore without boundaries.
I love watching Charlie and Robin not only figure out The Stream- the dream world- but also real life. Together they grow, learn, face their fears, and protect those who cannot protect themselves. They complement each other and whe...more

I have not read the first book, but this one was so well-written that it didn't matter. Everything was explained so well that I didn't feel like I missed anything.
Charlie, Robin, Janet, and Willie, along with the senior citizens deal with a wide variety of issues during their visits to the Stream, or the dreamworld. People and creatures who are nothing like what they seem to be. Deception from someone trusted. Dreams that get all too real.

Bill Jones, Jr. was certain he would be a photographer when he grew up. From age 12, he could be found bicycling through the streets of Hampton, Virginia, camera in hand. Already a voracious reader, at age ten, he was exposed to the poetry of Nikki Giovanni and the fiction of Jack London and Madeleine L’Engle. The writing bug was born.
