An Amazon freebie read. I don't have any overwhelming reason why I disliked this book. I suppose I like my Scots to have more of a brogue, which the characters didn't in this. There was nothing compelling in either Nessa or Tav's personalities that had me warm up to either character. The backstory of the families being in business together wasn't a large part of this.

This was a fun book to read. Very light hearted, a bit of humor from the old guys and the brothers and just enough romance to keep things going. However, the ending was severely lacking. It just stopped abruptly. Although there are presumably additional books in the series, the author shut this one down too quickly.

One thing I noticed was that in one spot it was written that Tav's mother died at age 32 and another said age 34. A better editor would have caught that. Overall, a fun book.

Nice story about two Scottish grandfather's plotting to get their grandchildren to marry each other to produce great grandchildren for them! I haven't read any of Diane White's books before, so I can't compare them, but I spent an enjoyable afternoon in the sun reading this one. It was free on Amazon and well worth a look.
