Good book. Mick and Cassie are assigned to work together undercover as newlyweds. They had had one night of passion together before Cassie insisted everything be strictly business between them. Now they have to act like newlyweds while trying to draw out a killer. The attraction is still there, but Cassie doesn't want to do anything about it. As they get deeper into their search, attempts are made on Cassie's life. Their attraction also continues to grow and they must decide on whether to act on ...more

I like Carla Cassidy's books. I enjoy knowing I'll have an hour or so ahead of me with a good book I will like. Her books in any line, like this Intrigue title, mean I am going to get a good story, interesting characters, and tight writing. Her villains have clear motivations and she writes male characters effectively. Not all writers do.
Loved this. Cute romance thriller with a slightly silly reason for the murder at the end. Mick and Cassie had a history. Forced to work together undercover to flush out a murderer of honeymooners. Cheesy set up and Cassidy tried too hard with the mystery and the backgrounds of Mick and Cassie but a sweet read nonetheless.
