I couldn't put this book down. It is about Nikki Maxwell. She is in danger of having to leave the school again. This time it is because of Mackenzie. Nikki toilet papered Mackenzie's house because Mackenzie is a witch. Mackenzie threatened to tell the principal and get Chloe, Zoey, and Nikki thrown out of school. Another reason she might have to leave is because she attends the school on a bug extermination scholarship. Her dad started working for Mackenzie's dad and might work full time. To mak ...more

Nikki is at a sleepover with her friends Chloe, and Zoey. They play truth or dare, and to avoid answering questions about Brandon, Nikki chooses a dare. She is dared to toilet paper Mackenzie Hollister house, a CCP girl that she can't stand. At first, she doesn't want to, but then thinks about all the mean things that Mackenzie has done to her and her friends.

They all go and toilet paper her house, and Mackenzie catches them before they can leave. However, Mackenzie is convinced that Br

Are you just dorkalicious? Well this is the book for you. Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not So Smart Miss-Know-It-All by Rachel Renee Russell is a Realistic Fiction book about Nikki Maxwell and her amazing private school adventures. Well, maybe not so amazing.

This book is a really good one. Better than I thought it would be. And it's very cool how Nikki joins the WCD Newspaper. The thing that bothers me the most is how Mackenzie keeps on getting worse and worse every time I read a new book! It just makes me wanna punch her in the face! I cannot wait to read the 6th Dork Diaries book. I heard that one was the best!!!

Nikki Maxwell develops a sudden interest in student journalism that may or may not (okay, definitely does) have to do with the fact that mean girl Mackenzie Hollister has started writing a gossip column. So, Nikki joins the school newspaper staff—and ends up as an advice columnist! It’s fun at first, answering other kids’ letters. But, when Miss Know-It-All’s inbox is suddenly overflowing with pleas for guidance, Nikki feels in need of some help herself. Fortunately, she has BFFs Chloe and Zoey ...more

Imagine you are a teenage girl and you are going to the super rich, and snooty Winchester Country Day middle school. Also you have the most popular girl in school out to get you. Also you are holding a big secret that you are hoping no one in the entire school will find out. Well this is what Nikki Maxwell goes through every day of her middle school life.
Nikki Maxwell is an ordinary middle school girl, but since her dad is an exterminator. Her dad got an exterminating job at this really snooty a

Although I have read many books in 1st quarter, Dork diaries is my favorite. In Dork diaries-Tales from a Not-So-Smart-Miss-Know-It-All, Nikki wants to work as a reporter for the school but doesn't get the job. Instead, she becomes someone who answers peoples questions through a secret name. She learns that this job isn't as easy as she thought. She answers almost 200 questions a day! Talk about tiring. She is trying to keep Mackenzie from telling on her to the principle and do her job at the s ...more

Nikki is in danger of having to leave school again and this time due to a little harmless prank. Mackenzie, as usual, isn't going to let a chance pass by to get rid of Nikki. But Nikki isn't going to let Mackenzie win that easy.

I love this book series. I love Nikki. Sure, she is over-dramatic at times (Well, a lot of the time), but I think that is one of the things that makes this series so fun and funny!
Mackenzie is yet again trying to get rid of Nikki (No surprise there!) and since Mackenzie

Picked this book up at the airport to read on a nine hour flight. It kept me entertained almost the whole way!

Great book! I love Nikki's sense of humor.
It's a lot of drama, but still realistic and described in a funny way.
You really connect with Nikki and got excited about her life - making you want to read more.

For once I actually wanted to continue reading the book as I got home (yeah, I'm a slow reader).
I don't usually read books, since they don't keep me entertained, but as soon as I finishe

Do mean girls get you down? So you have annoying little sister? Do you have a crush on a boy who is way out of your league? Well, send Miss Know it All a letter and she will answer your questions not matter what!!!! Okay Nikki Maxwell her life is filled with the normal tween problems, boys, pimples, mean girls and of course as the title implies the art of the dork. As I call myself some times. Okay so Nikki wants to work on the school newspaper. Only because her crush, Brandon, is working on it ...more

Wonderful books I've read almost all of them. The last one I've got to read is not so popular party girl. Anyway, lets talk about the book, I love this book so much. it's just so depressing because she constantly has a problem and always makes problems for herself. And why does she not tell her parents about Mackenzie? I would. Anyway the books are so cool to read and so interesting. I can't wait till I get to read "Not So Popular Party Girl". U just wish Nikki would show Mackenzie who's boss an ...more

Dork Diaries Tales From a Not So Smart Miss Know it All is a awesome book. I love to read diaries so you can see why I love this book.

I didn't want to put this book down . My favorite part is when Nicki goes crazy trying to get in the newspaper and she finally gets her letters and she hugs them tight. I was really happy with the ending of this book. I would recommend this book if you like diaries. Mackenzie Hollister is the mean but pretty girl she likes to bully Nicki. Nicki maxwell is the new

Nikki Maxwell is back and stylin as ever...and just as dorky. Nikki is already in trouble big time for letting her BFFS Chloe and Zoey talk her into toilet papering the humble abode of the Ultimate Enemy Supreme, namely Mackenzie Hollister, the Lindsay Lohan of Middle School. Luckily she gets a shot at redemption when a rotten-feeling newsman allows her to run an advice column, something normally she would never--NEVER--attempt. I mean, cmon! Nikki as personal I Ching? That's like asking Forrest ...more

This book was a great comeback to the 4th one. I did not like the 4th one as much.

I thought it was really fun reading all of the letters Nikki received! Some were really embarrassing and some sounded let alone helpless! There were no disappointments in this book.

I am not the kind of reviewer who totally spoils what's going to happen, so don't worry about that! All I do is tell about how i liked the book or not.

OMG!!!! I can relate to Nikki in SO many ways! I guess that is why I love this book so much! I had a countdown for the release of this book! (I'm not kidding! I was THAT excited!!) I am a DORK in so many ways! And yes I can get love sick a bit myself:) But this book was by far one of the best ever!!!! I hope there is a book 6! If there is, I have a countdown ready and waiting. Thanks for letting girls bring out their inner DORK and themselves SHINE!!!!:)

As books with wimp appeal go, this one's pretty positive. While the author deftly captures tween perseveration, if I never hear something described as "super-" or see another OMG!!!!! again, I will die happy. And, I must admit that I'm getting tired of Nikki's fear of being exposed as a fraud. I feel as though I'm reading the same book over and over. My fifth graders can't get enough of them though and the fact that they're excited makes me happy.

Dork Diaries Tales from a not so Smart Miss Know It All is a very funny book ! one part is were Nikki ( the main character ) is in school with a new teacher named Mr Zimmerman ( he likes coffee ) and hes counting the students and says there are 24 students in this class "then Nikki gets up , stands up on the table and screams "YOU FORGOT ME " and Mr Zimmerman is shocked and its a very funny part another part is that Nikki is talking to Mr Zimmerman why here name was crossed off the additions lis ...more

Snatched up this book before it would have surely been checked out by a tween patron. This series is hot at our library and I wanted to find out why. Maybe as a mom of two boys, I found Diary of a Wimpy Kid funnier than Dork Diaries. Both reveal middle school life so why do the girls in DD seem meaner than the boys in Wimpy Kid? Russell certainly seems to get it right as all the 5-star ratings indicate.

Nikki Maxwell is dork in a middle school she doesn't belong in. She comes up with a plan to get closer to her crush, Brandon. She joins the school newspaper to become Brandon's student, but she ends up being the writer for the advice column?!?! While the column is getting more, and more popular she gains nothing. Why? Because no one knows she is Miss Know-It-All! Read this hilarious story on how Nikki manages her crazy at-home life and writing for the advice colum.
