Troy Donavan is not only sexy as sin but I loved his intelligence and fun personality. This genius is tech savvy and at fifteen hacked into the Department of Defense’s computer system, exposing corruption that the government was hiding. Going in, his intent had been to get his parents attention, but once he’d realized what he’d stumbled upon, he had to solve this little mystery. His powerfully rich dad bought him out of juvie in exchange for the remaining school years to be spent in a Military P ...more

Wow. Catherine Mann can sure write some hot alpha men. Hillary has a habit of being attracted to bad boys. The latest one was caught stealing and money-laundering, and she was suspected of being in on it. To clear her name, she has been paired with Troy to identify one of the other participants. Troy also fits that description. He was caught hacking into DOD computers at the age of fifteen and sent to a military reform school (where he met other similar guys, as we'll see later). Now he assists ...more

Hillary Wright is on a airplane heading for Chichago where she will be working on identifing her ex-boyfriend's partner is stealing money from a charity to help with scholarships. She will be working with CIA and Interpol agents. This way she can prove her inocence. Troy Donavan at age 15 broke into the Pentagon computer and s

Catherine Mann has a great new series. The Alpha Brotherhood series begins with "An Inconvenient Affair", Troy. A billionaire computer guru, was sent to military school at 15, because he hacked the Department of Defense computers, exposing corruption. He grows up to run a major computer company and helps out the CIA and Interpol on occasion.

Hillary grew up in small town America, the daughter of an alcoholic mom, where appearances were everything. Hillary left her hometown to make it big in the W

An Inconvenient Affair is the first book in a new series, The Alpha Brotherhood. This series focuses on a group of brilliant and successful men who bonded as teens at a military reform school in North Carolina. Still trying to make amends for their past mistakes, they now use their rare talents and social connections as freelance agents for Interpol under the leadership of Col. John Salvatore, their former military school commandant.

At age 15, bored and ignored by his wealthy parents, Troy Donov

"Catherine Manns "An Inconvenient affair" - they say good things come in small packages. I think this saying applies to this wee gem! I normally read at a very fast rate but have paced myself over three days with this book. I wanted to savour every word and take a serious view of my very first ARC and review. The characters are charming & funny. The story is sexy and it keeps you entertained and interested. I am now looking forward to reading the next book in the Alpha Brotherhood series. I ...more

I am a HUGE fan of Catherine Mann. She writes some of the best heroes that I have read(especially her military heroes)and Troy is definitely one of her best.
An Inconvenient Affair is such a great story. It is a heartwarming, fun, sexy read with interesting and lovable characters. Troy *sigh* ~ he is such a great character (nothing better then a smart, charming, slightly broken, badboy)and I fell in love with him right from the start. I love him and Hillary together ~ she was perfect for him. Oh

The story tell the story of Hillary and Troy who was being deployed to identified the accomplice of a money laundering syndicate member whom Hillary's boyfriend was a member. This assignment is a way for Hillary to prove herself innocent. Troy on the other hand, was assigned to provide protection to Hillary without letting her know. And when the accomplice managed to slip from the authorities' radar, Troy have forced Hillary to stay in his company to safeguard her safety.

Wow - I received a signed copy from the author after emailing her I'd be willing to read it and write a review. Now I can't wait for the other books in the Alpha Brotherhood series.
Quick read so much so that I didn't want to put it down. Great storyline, romance, love, intrigue, great locales for the setting and the requisite happily ever after that I wanted to read more about. The descriptions were so vivid you felt like you were there.
I look forward to reading other books by Mann as well.

I just recently started reading Catherine Mann and i have discovered whether she writes a full size book or one of these smaller Harlequin books with around 200 pages she knows how to pack them with exceptional writing and plenty of action. Poor Hilary always seems to have the worst taste in men and her latest boy friend has gotten her in trouble with the law. Now she's trying to help out the government to put him behind bars and clear any suspicion that she was helping him. This puts her in con ...more

For me, this book was kind of "meh". It certainly wasn't bad, far from it. But it also wasn't so great that it stood out from any other books I've read.

Hillary is the female lead in the book. She was sweet but I didn't really connect with her and I didn't really think she was all that interesting. She was dating a guy who turned out to be a bit of a criminal and he's kind of one in a series of men that are essentially, Mr. Wrong. I've read a few

At the age of fifteen, Troy Donavan hacked into the DoD's computer system and uncovered government bribery and corruption. With that one act, he became instantly famous and was dubbed the “Robin Hood Hacker”. He was spared from having to serve jail time because his influential father managed to get him placed in a military boarding school to serve out his time. Seventeen years later, Troy owns a software company and runs a legitimate business. However, his many connections and his skills are oft

This story centers on Troy Donovan: the Robin Hood Hacker. When he was 15 he hacked into the DoD and started exposing corruption. Instead of sending him to juvie, the judge sent him to military reform school where he met the other members of the Alpha Brotherhood. His current assignment is to help identify a dangerous thief and money-launderer at a glitzy Chicago party. At the same time, Hillary Wright is trying to clear her name as the scheme involved a former boyfriend. The only way to convinc ...more

Espionage, passion, intrigue and romance these are all things I have learned to come to expect from the brilliant author Catherine Mann. And once again she has delivered.

She took two people one trying to simply clear her name and the other simply trying to put his life back together by being the good guy instead of the bad one. I loved the book from page one!

The author kept me on my toes at all times with little tit bits that were simply so tantalizing

This book was actually a good surprise since it’s my first form this author and didn’t felt like a Harlequin romance, maybe because of the action, maybe the spy things going around but I really liked how this couple managed the danger and even discovered some good things in live.

Both suffered since childhood, one was neglected by his parents and chose the crime world to get attention and the other had an abusive parent and everyone overlooked thing

I'm going to keep my review short since I'm swamped today.
An Inconvenient Affair was a fun, light read with characters that I were easy to get behind. I like the idea of this series, following men that met in a military school as kids. Each one has their own troubled past, and I look forward to reading about how they've grown up.
I don't normally read Harlequin books, but I recognized Catherine Mann's name as the author of Under Fire and gave this one a chance. She's not an author that's going

I loved it! This is the first book in a new series, The Alpha Brotherhood. Hillary Wright, the DC party planner, was accidentally involved in a fraud scheme thanks to her now ex boyfriend. Her reputation and her career are destroyed. It's guilt by association. Desperate to clear her name, she agrees to try and identify another man involved in the crime . This is where she meets Troy Donovan, a infamous hacker, and the intense romance heats up. I enjoyed the interaction between our heroine and th ...more

A an introduction to the Alpha Brotherhood, it was pretty good. For once the heroine's sister came across as the nice sister next door. Ending seemed a bit tame would have liked some more spark in the HEA. but over all an enjoyable read
