This was refreshingly different. It was still the standard Harlequin Presents book, but instead of the common Italian, Greek, Spanish, English, French or Australian hero, it was a Russian hero. He was like a breath of fresh air....or maybe that's just me and the two Russian classes I took in college. :)

This was enjoyable though the end felt just a little rushed. I could see me re-reading this as some point in the future.

I adored Lucy Ellis's debut so I was really looking forward to reading this book. The whole book takes place over 7 days and 3 countries. The short length of time is a romance trope that rarely works for me and it didn't this time either. The heroine was mercurial and the hero was a bit too alphabrutish for my liking and I just didn't feel the connection between the two. I'm also not a fan of unprotected sex/no conversation about sexual health in contemporary romances - particularly when the 2 p ...more

1.5 stars -- and I feel kind of bad about that, b/c I'm generally not a picky person. But the main characters drove me bonkers. I *hated* Plato -- and I tolerate an awful lot from the males in Harlequin books... But it just felt like there wasn't much redeemable about him. At all.... If that had been the worst of it though, it would have been a 2.5 star book. But Rose just compounded...she changed her mind about how she was feeling and what she was feeling so many times back and forth and back a ...more
Agradable lectura, no es la típica novela romántica de la chica enamorada del millonario. Sí, él es un millonario pero Rose tiene muy claro lo que quiere.
I should create a shelf called "the good crack" and add this to it. It's a very-brief-time-span romance, so definitely more "fairy tale" than reality, and it featured a Russian hockey player, which reminded me of fandom. So much fun.
Really liked this one. Lots of sexual tension, misunderstanding and conflict. Heroine has spunk. Doesn't allow herself to simply be bulldozed.
Me gustó mucho mas de lo que esperaba!
Lástima que fuera tan corto y al final todo sucediera demasiado rápido!
Very good, very emotional and intense between the two characters.
