Won on Goodreads in May 2012.

I have no background at all in the topic of the stock market. The author has explained the topic in a clear way such that a complete beginner like myself can understand the concepts put forth by the book. Many illustrations are used to help prove and visually explain the point the author is making. None of the graphs are redundant either.

WOW! I won this book on the GOODREADS GIVEAWAY! Thank you John Schwinghamer and GOODREAD for having this book available. I'm realy thrilled at receiving this book and very anxious to get into it. I just started playing the online Stockmarket and sure can use all the help I can get. I'm sure this book will give me all the answers I'm looking for, plus educating me in the stock market philosophies. I won this book on FirstRead Giveaways. Although I am a neophyte in stock market investment, the book is easy to understand and the author explains his concepts clearly and simply. It is accessible to any reader who wants to learn how to recognize companies worth investing in.

I began my investment career as a floor trader at the Montreal Exchange in 1984 after completing a B.Comm (Finance) at Concordia University. I am also a Lead Judge for the Concordia University John Molson School of Business International MBA Case Competition. I work as a Portfolio Manager at a major Canadian Bank. I live in Montreal with my wife who is an artist and we have 3 adult children.
