And Father Makes Three by Kim Watters
Dr. Elizabeth Randall receives an unexpected visitor at the hospital….a man who says he is the father of her adopted daughter, and he has proof.. As if she don’t have enough on her plate with Jordan having leukemia and getting weaker each day while waiting for a bone marrow transplant. And yet the handsome fireman is determined to work himself into their lives. She also carries a secret from the past that brings more guilt as she gets to know Blake.

This was a very good story about a man who learns he's a father after his ex-wife dies and his little girl (I think she's 10) is in the hospital needing a bone marrow transplant. Of course he doesn't match as is usually the case in these stories, but he does all he can to find donors. The adoption of his child as a new born brings up all kinds of issues. He's a pretty decent guy throughout the whole story though and is able to build a relationship with the adopted mother.
I won a copy of And Father Makes Three by Kim Watters through Goodreads. The story was sad as there is a little girl with cancer, I enjoyed reading the book, but once it was done I didn't feel a longing to know where the characters would go next.

A sweet story that kept me turning pages and ignoring my other duties. It was definitely time well spent, though!

At twelve years old, I fell in love with romance after I borrowed a romance novel from my older sister, Karin. An avid reader, I was soon hooked on the happily ever after endings. For years, I dreamt of writing my own romance novel, but never seemed to have the time until I relocated from Chicago to Phoenix. The rest, they say, is history. I’m a multi-published author with releases from Harlequin'...more
