This book had me going back to the time I was a child welfare worker, and thinking of children in my case load. It also made me think of the people I know, who have searched for their siblings. All through the book I was looking forward to seeing Collin reunited with his brothers. It left hope at the end, but I was let down a little. The social worker and the cop help a boy, and the boy helps the cop, who was holding in a lot of guilt for not taking care of his brothers. He hated social workers. ...more

Linda Goodnight has a two-part LI classic with "A Season for Grace" and "The Heart of Grace"

I loved reading this book with two parts telling the stories of Collin Grace in the first and brother Drew Grace in the second.

This is one of the best fictional books I have ever read! It's basically 2 stories in one, but the second one is just a continuation of the first. Some of the characters are in both stories. It centers around 3 brothers who get separated as kids. 23 years later, through different circumstances, they reunite. Collin the oldest, is a cop. The middle one, Drew is a photographer. And the youngest is Ian, who becomes a minister. All 3 have pain and struggles from a difficult childhood. But all 3 over ...more
