I really enjoyed this book. It is my favorite one so far in the series, but there were a few things I would have changed. It had the best plot out of all of them currently published that I have read, however it was a little predictable. It was fun to read and I couldn't put it down, and I am glad I bought it. I will probably read it again and it is fun if you're looking for a quick read. I would say it is the girl-version of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and much more enjoyable for me and the illustrat...more

OH MY GOD, THERE'S ANOTHER ONE?!?!?!?!

NO ONE TOLD ME THIS! Absolutely no one. When I finished the first book, no one said, "Hey Theresa, there's a 4th book, you know."

AND WHY NOT?! I should know about this! I mean . . . I am a

Nikki's school, Westchester Country Day, is studying ice skating in gym so that students can participate in the Holiday on Ice charity show. Nikki signs up with her friends Chloe and Zoey in hopes that they can beat the awful MacKenzie. The only problem? Nikki can't skate. This is an even bigger problem when she chooses Fuzzy Friends as her charity-- and her crush Brandon has a big stake in that, because it is run by his grandparents, and if the animal shelter has to close, he might have to move...more

I recently finished the 4th book in the Dork Diary series by Rachel Renee Russell. I have already read all the previous books in the series. The genre in the series is realistic fiction. The book is about a girl named Nikki Maxwell who is very unpopular in school. She has a HUGE crush on a boy in her school called Brandon. Nikki finds out that Brandon loves volunteering at Fuzzy Friends, a local animal shelter. He invites her to volunteer with him, and when she does, she looks forward to coming...more

While the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series is by far the most popular series in my school library, Dork Diaries is also very popular. I must confess that I find Dork Diaries more enjoyable. Maybe it's because I don't find Greg very likeable, maybe because I can relate to a girl main character better. But I think that it is most likely because Nikki personifies so well the dramas of middle school. I have to laugh at how horrified she becomes at things that I no longer would even blink at, but which re...more

This was the second series I bought after reading one or two books of The Diary of the Wimpy Kid. It's quite obvious that that time, I am fond of reading this diary books. Someone recommended me this series and I liked it especially since it has more detailed drawings than the Wimpy Kid. But on the second book, I noticed that the drawing of the characters especially Mackenzie changed. Idk if they changed artist or what but I found the drawings on the first book better. Funny, that issue, not the...more

The book Dork Diaries Tales from a Not- So- Graceful Ice Princess by Rachel Renee Russell is about an 8th grade girl named Nikki. She is a girl that doesn’t have very many friends and is embarrassed by her dad who is an exterminator. In this book of the series Nikki is finally getting close to her crush, Brandon. The holiday on ice show is getting ready to start. It is a charity show to raise money. When the pet store Brandon volunteers at is closing down due to money issues, Nikki decides to g...more

I thought that this book was totally awesome and hiliarious! It is about a girl named Nikki who is totally a dork. There is an ice-skating contest and Nikki signs up to try and save a business where a boy named Brandon works, who she totally likes. The business is called Fuzzy Friends and she is doing this so Brandon won't have to move.

The only problem is that she doesn't even know how to ice skate. Her little sister, Brianna, is annoying, but she kind of helps Nikki at the end of the book. I...more

I love this book. It is my all-time favorite even though I know I am going to love all of the next books. I can really imagine the story happening in real life because it was extraordinarily detailed. I think other people would like this book especially if they like to do stuff like the main character.

The main character really likes to have fun with her three friends. She is just like a regular middle-schooler at school, and if you are one maybe you would totally relate to the main character....more

Yup...Nikki is at it again. Signing up for the Ice Skating competition when she's never skated a day in her life. How hard can it be? She is doing it to help her crush, Brandon and his grandparents save their animal shelter which desperately needs funds. The winners get $3000 for their favorite charity! She just might be able to pull it off...if it weren't for snooty, evil Mackenzie. She'll do anything to see Nikki fail and get Brandon for herself.

But, once again, Mackenzie's maniacal plans go...more

Nikki isn't surprised to learn that Brandon volunteers at an anima shelter and is happy to volunteer with him. But Brandon tells Nikki that the animal shelters is going to have to close down. Nikki wants to do whatever she can to help the shelter stay open, even if it means having to try and skate on ice.

I really love this series - It's so fun and I find myself laughing whenever I read a book in this series. Nikki is just a great character. Sure, she can be a bit dramatic, but she's a really car...more

This book is about a girl named Nikki, and she has a big crush on a boy named Brandon. Branden would always offer his work to a animal shelter that's called Muddy Paws. Until it was going out of business. So Nikki and her friends Chloe and Zoey enter an ice skating competition. And the winner gets $1,000.But when Nikki finds out a big secret about Brandon. There's no way she's backing out now.

For my pinyon I really like the book. Its one of my favorite in the sires.I never would have never known...more

Nikki is once again, trying to get Brandon's attention and with McKenzie and Brianna, that is quite hard to do! Join Nikki and her friends, the "ice skating sensations", in this great book that is the 4th (i think) to the series.

One thing I like the format of this book. The diary approach makes it something that most of us can relate to. Also, the middle school popularity thing is another relation that I have with the story. Me and Nikki have a lot in common: we're both artists, were both the "...more

Nikki has a huge crush on a guy named,Brandon. He works at a animal shelter. The sad part is that the animal shelter is closing down because of the lack of money! Also Brandon is moving away. Lucky for Nikki there is a a skate-a-thon and the prize is 10 thousand dollars. Just enought to save the shelter but Nikki isn't the best skater! So will Nikki and her friends be able to do it? Will the 10 thousand dollars be theirs? If they do, will Brandon finally ask Nikki out?

Nikki’s school is having an ice-skating contest, where teams of students will be sponsored by a local establishment and perform an ice-skating routine. Whoever wins will get to have a donation to send to the establishment. As Nikki gets closer to Brandon by helping volunteer at the animal center, Fuzzy Friends, she decides that her friends, Zoey and Chloe, should pick Fuzzy Friends.

Nikki believes that Brandon will have to move if Fuzzy Friends go out of business, but she doesn’t want him to fin...more

Not going to give away any spoilers, but this fourth book in the Dork Diaries series (which seems to be expanding massively) was just as great as the others, with a hint of cute animals in a shelter that need to besaved, an ice skating competition that both Mackenzie and Nikki have entered (OF COURSE!) and Brandon being cute and crush-worthy as ever. Don't miss another one of the truthful, individual Dork Diaries series that REALLY needs to be made into a few movies! Recommended mostly for girls...more

I think that the book, Skating Sensation, by Rachel Renee Russell, is for girls ages nine to fourteen, who like realistic fiction, a little bit of romance, and reading in diary form. I think this book would be good for realistic fiction lovers, because it is about a dork, and her life. I would also recommend this book to people who like a little bit of romance, because she likes this guy, and she is trying to help him. People who also like reading in diary form would like this, because this is...more

I would read this book again. Nikki Maxwell finds out her boyfriend is working at Fuzzy friends, the local pet shelter that his aunt owns. The shop was going to shut down ,so Nikki decides that she is going to skate in her schools charity skate show for fuzzy friends. Brilliant right?! Well not until Mackenzie comes. And also Nikki can't skate. Can Nikki make it. Find out when you read Dork Diaries #4 Tales From a Not-So Graceful Ice Princess

I enjoyed this book very much, and no, this is not the same as Diary Of A Wimpy Kid (another great book series). I love the Way Miss Russell exposes the characters and how most middle school students can relate to Nikki and her up side down family and how she deals with Mackenzie, Chloe and Zoey, and Brandon. I would recommend this book (and the whole series) to everyone of all ages. I can't wait for the future books!

I don't really have an addiction to dork diaries, but I read 1-2, skipped three, cause I couldn't find it anywhere, then I read this one. The writing in the books isn't very high quality, like, it sounds like something you could just put together in a day. However, its addicting! Sometimes I find myself reading until I finish the whole book! I gave this 5 stars because of that, and the art style.

i liked this book because Its funny how Nikki is trying to get the Fuzzy Friends to stay and also (brandon). And she will do whatever it takes to let them stay. Ostly she is represnting Fuzzy Friends in skating but the problem is that she dosent know how to skate. And she tries everything to win the skating competision. And its funny how she passe alot of embarresing stuff with brianna.

Another entry into the Dork Diaries series. This doesn't fail to entertain. Fans of the series will be happy to see Nikki back and fighting for her crush, Brandon. Brandon volunteers for an animal shelter and it is in need of money to stay open. Nikki, Chloe, and Zoey enter an ice skating competition to get the money. But you just know that Mackenzie will get involved also!

Even though these books are supposed to be for Tweens, I like this series. It makes me want to do a better job at keeping a journal and draw in it.
In this one, Nikki and her friends agree to do a ice skating show for charity. It takes in December so there's a bit of a cozy feeling to it. Nikki is still smitten with Brandon (those two need to hook up, for fictional characters they seem like a good match) and Mackenzie is still mean (and probably will always be, even as an adult).
I'll be looking...more

I thought this book was different from the rest of the series. I liked that because the book got even funnier. I like funny books! This book was also good to me because I like ice/ figure skating, but when I was younger I was terrible. Don't ask me if that's what I want to be when I grow up, because I haven't decided. You should read this if you haven't already!

I always love Dork Diaries series!! It is a story about one dork girl who has 2 bestfriends & 1 crush who is super nice. This book was about Nikki who doesn't know how to skate but volunteer to skate to save Fuzzy Friends (a pet store) from closing their pet store & apparently that pet store is Brandon's granparents business. Which means, if they close their business, Brandon has to move out from his school! :O
