Enjoyed this biography of Steve Jobs. I thought that it gave good background information to students about the work that he did to make personal computers part of our everyday lives. I also liked that it gave a very realistic description of Steve Jobs as a person. Students reading this book would definitely understand the importance and genius of his work but would see that he wasn't without flaws. Would recommend it to students looking for more information about Steve Jobs or interested in 20th...more
Steve Jobs, although a modern-day genius, was not your typical everyday citizen. He had some quirky ideas about family, employees, and technology. Who Was Steve Jobs? is a fascinating look at the mind of man who changed the landscape of our lives. These short, concise biographies relate some little-known and interesting facts that make the people come alive for the reader.

My favorite series of biographies for young readers continues to provide fascinating looks at amazing people.Jobs is an interesting guy, and his life path wasn't straight forward, nor his personality warm and friendly. But he did Think Different and the world is a better place because of him.
I did not know Ridley Scott directed the first Apple commercial in 1984, or that Jobs did not bathe frequently! a fun little book.

This was a good book. Steve jobs created apple. When he was a kid he loved to watch his dad fix things. He liked to eat fruits and vegetables. When he made the logo for apple he got the idea from an apple. Steve jobs invested a lot of money into his company, he paid him self 1 dollar a year. This is a great non-fiction book, so you should read it.
100 pages who was Steve jobs Pam Pollack non fiction
Steve always loved to watch his dad fix machines which got him into engineering. When he graduated high school he couldant pay for collage so he sat in on classes without getting a degree. Later he made the apple II home cp and became a hit and then a millionaire

I chose this book because it is an example of contemporary and future readings in Science biographies. During my 2nd grade placement, our “senior reader” (a senior citizen that comes and reads to the class every Tuesday) read this book and the students enjoyed every minute of it, as did I.
Great intro biography for students in 3rd-5th grade. With the addition of iPads in many schools and homes, students might have increased interest. P.K.
