First of all let me say that Ashley and Jacquavis are great writers whether they are writing as a duo or individually. I didn't like the direction that this book went in though. Why you ask? Let me tell you.....

First, the characters were not true to themselves. I don't believe that Carter would have let the "beef" between his two brothers escalate into an all out war. I know that Money's reappearance was shocking, but Carter is a thinker and he would have found a way to appease both Zyir and Mon...more

Let me start by saying I am not a huge fan of The Cartel series like most people. I loved the first book and I enjoyed the second book until the dream portion. As for the third installment it was just okay, but A&J really killed it for part 4. From the first page I was completely drawn in, never knowing what was going to happen next. They say blood is thicker than water, but blood doesn't always equal loyalty. Carter and Zyir are loyal to one another and they expect the same out of anyone in...more
I'm not going to sit here and give y'all a long drawn out play by play of everything that went down in this book. However, I will tell you that Ashley JaQuavis did not disappoint in this 4th installment of The Cartel Series. From the very first page, I was pulled in. The Cartel 4: Diamonds Are Forever is full of drama, murder, lies, and deceit. It had so many twists and turns that I definitely did not see coming. I loved the vividness of it all. It was almost as if I was there with the characters...more

I hold urban fiction to a lower standard than your general fiction books. To me they are fun little escapes that I switch to whenever everything else is just too much. Usually Ashley & JaQuavis are head and shoulders above other urban fiction writers when it comes to plot continum and editing. The first Cartel book is still one of my favorite stories, urban fiction or otherwise. However, in this outing I felt let down. The whole, everyone comes back from the dead, or wasn't really dead in th...more

I'm a huge fan of A&J...but I want gonna write a review because I didn't want to give anything away in the I will just say first I was little skeptical about reading this book...even tho I love the whole Cartel series...I felt as if the good characters had died off....then I was like...Ok it's been over a year there's noway they can make this story any better...but after reading this...I must admit I love how they orchestrated this whole book...I love the plots, the twist...more

still reading this I'm just loveing how ashley & jaquavis put there heart soul and passion into this book is so good I just don't want it to end
lines are drawn, guns are drawn, sides have to taken. is family truly family...are diamonds truly forever? resurrected characters appear and decisions have to be made, to accept them back into the fold or will they be left broken hearted in the cold. love and allegiances are strange things, can Carter maintain his gangsters, family and love...or will he fall victim to these emotions?

#4 continues this seemingly never ending saga with no closure, New subplots and the promise of more to come. did I...more
I was greatly entertained as I expected to be! I am anxiously awaiting Part 5!!! Some how I feel that the ending is not what it appears to be!!!! YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG by selecting the CARTEL Series to read! Great job!!!
Ashley&Jaquavis really out did them self with this one I finish this book in a hour 1/2 it was very very good now im back on the count down for part 5!!!!!!!! Now i got to see whats next on
my list :)
This book seemed a bit rushed and shorter than usual. Perhaps it was used as a transition to a new era in Cartel 5. Overall is was a great read! Loved how one of my favorite characters came back to life!

This book totally redeemed itself from the Cartel 3: The Last Chapter. There were so many turns of events, and shocking things that were happening I literally couldn't believe it all. I don't want to give it away, but a lot of wrongs that were done in the previous book were done right in this book. The action was there. It was ruthless, and there was plenty of good loving all around as well. For once, A&J didn't kill everyone in sight so that was a welcome change. I am so happy that this sag...more

I was not impressed. Everyone coming back to life was soap operaish. I will read the cartel 5 because the girls will be reigning. Hopefully it will bring something better.

The Cartel 4: Diamonds are Forever by Ashley & JaQuavis was a good and interest book to read. I enjoyed reading this book because it’s always on the point, well-written and well-characters. Once again, both of authors never disappointed me for this book and they did a good job.

Like: Carter Jones and Monroe “Money” Diamond are remind me of their father. They are business and family men. Carter Jones likes both of his brothers Mecca and Money but he never choose side for both of his brothers a...more

I was absolutely waiting for this book to come out and it definitely didn't disappoint. I was surprised, angry, sad, and happy all at one time.

Zyir and Carter have been holding down the Cartel family after much of the family perishes. It wasn't an easy feat. Then Monroe "money" comes into the picture after five years of him supposedly being dead. He sees that Zyir is the head honcho right now and he isn't happy at all. He wants to reclaim what's his back and get rid of Zyir once and for all.

ashley and jaquavis sure know how to leave their fans on a cliff hanger! i love the cartel series as well as the prada plan series. but sheesh these dates moving and shifting only make me thirsty for more more of the love, hate, and betraying that goes down with the series. honestly july cant come quick enough for me.. WE WANT MORE
The beginning started out a bit confusing and slow for me, but after a couple pages, I figured it out, and then it began to flow a lot smoother. I am absolutely positively in love with this series! I can't wait to read The Cartel 5. I've been reading the series like tic-tac's; it's that good! I'd definitely recommend this to others!

Full of some entertained gangster drama but just as bad as the last two books. The characters are running a drug kingpin family but make bad choices which make it impossible to believe they would be in charge of anything. Also, more people have died and come back in this book then a daytime soap opera. It's like watching a b-movie and finding it hard to believe someone funded this project.

Regardless, I can't hate on the fact that these ladies cornered the market in gangster fiction. Somehow the...more

The drama just keeps cummin

you can almost never guys what's going to happen next. it keeps you guessing and at the edge of you're seat there are a few typos though if they fix that it'd definitely be a 5 star read. All I can say is keep writing Ashley and JaQuavis!
This was the best of them all! This book never had a dull moment , it was great from start to finish. I was so thrilled to see that Carter Young had stepped down and let Zyir run The Cartel. Then Monroe shows up from the dead and thinks things should go his way. He was so jealous of Carter and Zyir's relationship. He felt like Zyir was trying to take his place as Carter's blood brother. Breeze was so torn to see her husband and brother almost kill each other. Miamor just has been thru so much, b...more

The Cartel

Overall it was a great book. I was skeptical about reading it at first so I downloaded the sample, too many people were coming back from the dead. The beginning was interesting only because you want to know how these people fake their death but after you figure that out the hype dies down. I dreaded completing the book around the last chapter. If book 5 consists of Leena , Miamor and Breeze taking over the cartel I probably won't read it unless Carter , Money and Zyir mysteriously swim...more
