The story had a good start, but it never seemed to get off the ground. Dragged in parts, I ended up skipping paragraphs. Normally I wouldn’t finish a book that doesn’t keep my interest, but since this is only about 150 ebook pages (and I was hoping something would happen) I finished it.
I’m a big fan of Alexandra Ivy, but this was not my cup of tea.

This book has been on my shelves as one of the many on my TBR list. I decided to give it a chance. Being that I Alexandra Ivy's other books that are in the Guardians of Eternity series. And I LOVED that series. So I moved this up in front of the others on my shelf.
Though I loved the characters of Simone & Gideon and like the idea behind the story. I mean who doesn't like a story where good vampires can walk in daylight and only bad vampires are kept to only the night? I like the concept. I l...more

My Lord Vampire
An old gypsy woman gives a medallion a young noble woman and then all of a sudden people are interested in her like never before, but that’s not the part that is the scariest. She begins to change. Alexandra Ivy’s My Lord Vampire captured my attention with its modernized feel to an old setting and an even older theme.
The style of the book is very proper. This is evident the first time someone speaks. Lord Braceton states, “Another stunning success, Lady Gilbert.” More modern men...more

As an avid fan of Alexandra Ivy's Guardian's of Eternity series, I was anxious to get my hands on the new series "Immortal Rogues". While it was not what I had expected, it was a very sweet read indeed.
Gideon Ravel is a vampire that lives behind the Veil. A mystical barrier where vampires live sophisticated lives without violence and bloodshed. The Veil was created by the great vampire Nefri, a scholar who used a magical medallian to create the new...more

Lady Gilbert, Simone's life was going along as she planned. Her party invitations were the most sought after invitations in London. She was very selective about who she invited. Men from all ages did their best to entice the young widow to their side. Gideon was once again thrust back into the mortal world. After 200 years, he was able to feel the desires, passions and emotions once again. He was sent by the Council to protect one of the three maidens who held a part of the Medallion. He never...more
Vampires have left our dimension and live in an alternate zone called THE VEIL. The only way to drop the veil and bring Vampires back to reign would be to drop the Veil, and that's exactly what 3 rogue vampires want to achieve. To drop the veil they need to find and assemble three pieces of a mysterious amulet that has been entrusted with 3 "maidens" to be kept safe. The amulets cannot be stolen from the maidens, only given freely. So the council of elders has chosen 3 vampires to return and bec...more
This book was okay, but nothing earth shaking. The vampire, Gideon comes from behind the veil where his race has existed for 200 years in order to protect Simone. She has 1/3rd of a medallion in her possession. If the 3 renegade vamps find all 3 pieces and join them together, they can conquer the earth and rule all the vampires. (This obviously means that 2 more books will follow this one.)Tristan is the vampire trying to get the medallion, but it has to be given up willingly. Tristan is eerie an...more
Yang suka adegan h...more

The vampire Nefri divides the magical Medallion that created the Veil (a utopia for all vampires) into three pieces and places them into the care of three women for safekeeping after rogue vampires decide to go after the Medallion’s power. In My Lord Vampire, we follow the arrogant Gideon Ravel on his rescue quest of one of the woman holding the Medallion, Lady Simone Gilbert. Boring...Boring...Boring.... Endingnya mengecewakan dan terlalu banyak narasi yg membuat bete keti...more
This book was is a 2003 release under Alexandra Ivy's name, originally published under the author name of Debbie Raleigh. The voice is definitely not as mature as Alexandra Ivy. I had the following 2 books of the re-released series of My Lord Eternity and My Lord Immortality listed as wanted on PaperbackSwap and SwapTree, but after reading this one, I deleted them. I did not finish this book. I got about halfway through, and decided that there was no point in finishing it if I was saying to myse...more

This is a sweet story with a little bite.
Vampires left the human realm almost two hundred years ago for the Veil. The Veil is a place where vampires can live in peace. In the Veil, they have no fear of being hunted and they are no longer slaves to their primal hungers. Now traitors are threatening their calm existence. Gideon must cross back over to the human realm to find a maiden who has unknowingly been entrusted with a portion of the medallion that protects the Veil. He must not let...more

This book was previously published under Alexandra Ivy's other name Deborah Raleigh in 2003. You can for sure tell the difference between this work and her "Guardians of Eternity" series. There is no comparison. I did like this book but it is not near as captivating as her newer series.

It’s been two hundred years since vampires have retreated behind the Veil to live a life pursuing knowledge instead of humans. Now, that peaceful existence is being threatened by three rogues who have decided they should be out there doing what vampires do best, hunting and killing the nasty lower life forms called humans and gaining power.
Gideon Ravel and two others are sent back to the world of the humans to find three maidens, each entrusted with a piece of the Medallion used to create, hold...more

I really enjoy Alexandra Ivy’s Guardians of Eternity vampire series, so when I was offered this book for review I jumped on it! It’s not the same series, in fact it’s an older book she re-vamped (pardon my vampire pun), but it’s set in the same world, and we see cross-over characters.
I did like the book, but I don’t feel it really hooked me the same way her other series did. My biggest complaint is that the hero is sent from behind the veil (where the vam...more

My Thoughts
Alexandra Ivy’s first novel in the Immortal Rogues series is a passionate tale of good vs. evil. Two hundred years ago, the Vampires moved from the mortal plane to live Behind the Veil – a place created where vampires could live in peace and safety and not be plagued with basic urges or bloodlust.
The greatest vampire of all, Nefri, created the Veil using an ancient Medallion. Since the Medallion is so powerful and could also be used for many purposes and even to destroy the Veil, she...more

This book starts off from an interesting premise and for the most part delivers on it. You've got the good vamp, the evil vamp, and the human maiden that's caught in the tug of war between them. She's duly repulsed by the evil one without really knowing why, and strangely drawn to the good one, again without really knowing why. Add in the backdrop of London high society and you potentially have enough varied intrigue to keep things really interesting. Unfortunately there's a certain flatness and...more
I was so disappointed by this book. If you are going to bill yourself as a paranomal romance book in 2013 then there at least needs to be some kind of steamy unique sex scene. This book had none, absolutely none. felt it was a historical romance novel where at the last minute they decided to make the man a vampire with some strange powers. He was a vampire that wouldn't even drink her blood. Enough said. If I'm picking up a vampire book, it's cause I want the vampire part.
What a marvelous book! It combines two of my favorite things: vampires and Regency England. Gideon Ravel had not lived in the human world for two centuries. He only returned at the request of the Great Council to protect Lady Simone Gilbert, a human female who possessed one of three enchanted, extremely powerful amulets. Tristan would stop at nothing to obtain Simone’s amulet and the power it would give him. For Gideon to properly protect Simone she has to trust him. After the death of her fathe...more
"My Lord Vampire" by Alexandra Ivy. (Book 1 in the Immortal Rogues Trilogy)
I really enjoyed this book. It's a paranormal romance (obviously you can tell by the title) but set in historical times. I would actually say this book would be more of a "light" romance as there is more of the "fade to black" element when things get hot. Not to racy. Which is actually a nice change once in a while.
Will definitely be reading the following installments.

I read this, and all three of them when they came out under Debbie Raleigh. I remember them under the sweet Traditional Regency line and they were quiet thin. So I'm thinking these are expanded if its 321 pages? Cuz I pulled out my original one and its only 222 pages so this is like 100 pages added? So I'm wondering if more was added, more heat? Anyone read the originals and this to know if they are the same?
Having read this authors other series I was disapointed. The plot mixed vampire romance with historical romance. The plot was very familiar with the female lead needing the male lead to swoop in and save her (and her reputation) as with most historical romance while adding the predictability of the classic vampire love story. Have read it and am glad I did however not one I would read again!
I read the original paperback written under Debbie Raleigh's name aka Alexandra Ivy. Suffice-to-say, it was an easy read. A little suspense, a little romance and an ending, well...you know how it would end. It's one of those books that fills your free time- okay but nothing that blew me away. If you are looking for a no-brainer Halloween romance this book might be up your alley.

I'm not exactly sure when I fell in love with books. Probably on my mother's knee listening to her read Dr. Seuss to me. I do remember that I was barely old enough to cross the street by myself when I discovered the delights of the local library. Could anything be more wonderful than spending summer days surrounded by stacks of Nancy Drew mysteries? Over the years I fell in love with Victoria Holt...more
