3.5 stars - After finishing the prolog of a Caress of Wings I had some pretty strong reservations - the human hero, Trevor, was feed on by vamps who reveled in his fear and he was also repeated raped during the year he was held captive - a tortured/sexually abused lead is not a favorite theme for me and their move to a physical relationship in the aftermath is rarely well done in romance. But I have to say that with the angelic powers of the heroine, Siobhán to mend (and hide) some of the trauma...more
This is a novella accompanying the Renegade Angels trilogy. During one of her raid on vampire nests, Siobhán rescued Trevor who has been captured by vampires for a year and used as a blood bag. While busy with her research into the vampire disease, Siobhán finds taking care of Trevor a good distraction from her work.
Trevor gradually returns back to good health and apart from being grateful for Siobhán, he finds undeniable connection with her.

This novella was pretty good. If you are invested in the Renegade Angels, this novella is a must read, because I’m pretty sure we’ll see the characters again later in the series. I am a little confused in this series, because the whole reason the Sentinels are on earth is to monitor the Watchers’ punishment, but the Sentinels keep committing the same crimes, and they get no punishment. If I were a Watcher/Fallen, I’d be pretty pissed off at this point. Also there are some inconsistencies in the...more
I'm finally figuring out that these Renegade Angels books are like a soap opera. All the characters are interrelated and each book focuses on one pair. This one was about Siobhan, an archangel who is working to find the cure for the disease running rampant through the vampire community. I have to say this was a surprisingly great e-novella.
It had a lot of action, a strong heroine and a very strong hero. What Trevor went through for over a year would normally make anyone else go mad. His fierceness and will is amazing and his determination to help shows that he took his experience and didn't fall apart but is using it to be better. His automatic attraction to Siobhán from the beginning was so strong, you just knew it was due to being soul mates.

I think this story, despite its short length, is my favourite Renegade Angels story to date. Yet another angel finds her soul (and sex) mate, and discovers that not only are her wings weapons of mass minion destruction, they have another function as well;-) Oh yes, some readers complain that we don't get to read the part when our sentinel heroine loses her virginity- I am ok with that. A nice novella with a secondary character mentioned in A Touch of Crimson Sentinel Siobhan getting her HEA with a mortal doctor.
The only critcism I have with this series is according to the premise of the mythology the Sentinels if they fall in love with a mortal are supposed to become Fallen. In the first book and this novella somehow this hasn't happened... and with no adequate explanation except some mention that if they are "changed" the rules maybe don't apply. I read this novella slightly out of order, after A Hunger So Wild, but it was fine and didn't impact the story arc.
I needed another Renegade Angels kick and this fitted the bill nicely :-)

If you’re looking for a compelling, sensual love story where the characters are enchanting, the sexual tension is seductive, the fighting is fierce, and the love is uninhibited once they give into their desires, then A Carees of Wings by Sylvia Day is definitely the book to read. I’m so psyched about the next book in the series, A Hunger So Wild. Bravo Ms. Day! Read More!
I have read, A Hunger So Wild, before this one and came across the flip remark Siobhan said. It made me immediately want to track down this one. I really liked this short, loved how there was the instant connection between Siobhan and Trevor. It proved to be a real thing when Siobhan took Trevor’s memories and his reaction was the same. I look forward to see more of Adrian’s reaction to Siobhan comment.
I look forward to seeing some conclusion to this story and given there is a reference to Siobhan falling in love in A Hunger So Wild, I'm sure it will be dealt with at some stage. Once again Sylvia Day has provided characters that I find really easy to become attached to. If you like the Renegade Angels series this one is definitely a must to read!!!
I know this is a novella. I know that it is intentionally short. I get that. Still not enough. The last scene was cut short and then told from a brief memory. I wanted more from it. Still love the series and can't wait to follow these love lost soul through the current disaster!
Loved this series so much!!! I want all the characters to have a book. Siobhan and Trevor was so lovable together. My favorite part was that his soul recognize her when his brain didn't. Tears of Joy. Please find time to continue this series. One of the best writers out there.
Oh my.. What a delight this short story was. I'm glad I don't have to wait but a couple days to continue reading about the Renegade Angels and the other characters in the books.

Oh boy, these poor Angels just keep falling, and falling, and falling. How could the creator have made them to not feel love, it's not right. Love the direction of this series, loved every character so far and anxiously awaiting the next book. Nice quick, fun read.
OMG! Just like 'A Dark Kiss of Rapture (Renegade Angels #0.5)' this novella was too damn short!! Yet it's very compelling. It almost kills you to crave for more!!

A nice little novella in the Renegade Angels world. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it (as the male lead is rescued from physical and sexual abuse and torture) but it ended up being pretty good.
The Renegade Angels Series has been my first read in this genre and I've not been disappointed with this novella. Can't wait for more of the same from Ms Day!!
Two stars because it's a decent piece of writing which, unfortunately, fails to achieve any form of unity and coherence that would make it into anything more than a few chapters of a whole book. A teaser. A sneak preview. Nothing more.
Best novella I have read in a while. I was hooked from the first page. Sylvia Day is an exceptional writer and just keeps getting better.

Addictive little paranormal romance novella, I need to get out of the genre but it keeps pulling me in.
Another novella to keep me up to date with all that happens in the 'Renegade Angel' world. Now I have Trevor to think about. Siobhan, another of these fantastic Sentinal Angels, falling for a human. Or is he, Trevor the poor guy has been through an ordeal, but with or without his full memories of the past year, he falls for Siobhan.

A great interlude in the RA series. Loved it...and the love story here was so strong between the h/h!
